I wake up and head into my bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror. My hair was a mess I had a rough night and I didn't get a whole lot of sleep. My mind was racing with thoughts which made it impossible to sleep.

Aliyah was on my mind all night. She got all snappy yesterday and I couldn't understand why. Was she mad at me? Did I do something wrong? Forget it I don't care I just need to get ready for school.

I turn and look at my clock. "Shit." I mutter under my breath. I had fifteen minutes and I still need to pick up Bri. I hurry and throw on some clothes and brush my teeth. I don't have breakfast and race out my door and to my car. I hop in and pull out of my driveway and drive to Brianna's house. She's waiting on her porch and I see her smile when I drive up.

"Hey you." She says climbing into the passengers seat.

"Hey." I say with a slight smile. "Sorry I'm late. I slept in." I say as I drive to school.

We get to school and I get out and help Bri out too. I see Aliyah walk in but ignore her thinking she'll snap at me again.

Bri and I walk inside and head to our lockers which happen to be right next to each other. I throw my bag in and grab my books. I honestly didn't like school but I had to do it to stay on the school sports teams.

"Is something bothering you?" Brianna asks suddenly.

"Huh? What? Oh no nothing's bothering me. Why'd you think there is?" I asks

"You just seem distracted." She says grabbing her books. "Never mind, I need to get to class I'll see you later." She kisses my cheek quickly then walks away.

I stand against my locker having time before class. Some girl who I didn't recognize walks up to me.

"You must be Ben." She says. I nod still unsure who she is. "Well this is for you." She hands me an envelope. I take it and shove it in my pocket. "I suggest you read it. It's very important." She winks then walks off.

I watch her leave and then just stare in that direction. 'What the hell was that?' I think. 'Who was that girl? And why does she look so familiar?'

I'm still staring off into when I feel a hand on my shoulder. Someone was shaking me. I look over and see Aliyah. "You okay?" She asks. "You were staring at nothing and looked dazed." She looked slightly worried but she hid it well.

"Uh- yeah yeah. I'm fine. Can I help you with anything?" I say my tone kind and sincere.

She removes her hand and clears her throat. "Yes actually. I can to..." I can tell she hesitates. "I came to apologize about yesterday after school. I just... I'm sorry." She looks down at her shoes.

"It's okay." I assure her. "No harm done." I shrug.

She nods. "Okay. Well I have to get to class. Bye." She walks off and I watch her for a minute or so then I hear the bell ring and run to class.
