I crawled into bed and pulled up the blanket. I was lying on my back, just looking at the ceiling, I realized how tired I actually was and rolled onto the left side, my back to Isaac, I was careful when I did so, that way I wouldn't take the entire blanket with me. I started to rub my thumb together with my pointer, and middle finger, something I tended to do out of habit. I'm not sure if the noise bothered him or not, but Isaac said my name.
"Lydia.."
I turned to my other side, facing him, "Sorry, it's just out of habit." I stopped immediately.
He looked down at my hands, "no it's not that;" he paused "I, I want you everything is going to be okay." He paused, "Jackson's not going to hurt you, okay? None of him pack members are either."
I put my right hand under my head, on top of the pillow, "I know that." I took a deep breath, "I'm worried about you, Stiles, Derek, Scott, Malia, Kira, Liam, I'm even worried for Peter! Jackson's not coming after me, he's coming after you guys. He coming for me."
He let out a deep breath, "we have fangs and claws, Kira has a sword" he paused for a second "and you know, Stiles, Stiles he has a nice bat." He said with I laugh that I returned.
"They have fangs too you know. I just don't want anyone hurt because of me." I said in a more serious tone.
He put his hand on my arm, "We're all going to be okay. I promise. No one is coming here tonight, why don't you just try to get some sleep, we'll talk more in the morning alright?" He asked giving my arm a light squeeze.
I nodded. "good night" I said in return. I didn't turn back around or anything, I just shut my eyes and tried to go to sleep. I couldn't fall asleep but I knew within twenty minuets Isaac had. He slept lying on his back, arms bent and near his face. He was more in the middle of the bed than he was his side, which was fine.
Thirty or so minuets since he fell asleep I started to doze off, and I stayed asleep until I woke up in the middle of the nigh from a terrible nightmare. My head was on Isaacs bicep, our legs were intertwined, his arm wrapped around my torso. We were basically spooning. I was breathing hard, sweating even, I turned around and when I did Isaac woke up.
He was awake instantly, "Lydia?" He said pulling me into his arms, "you're okay, it was just a nightmare."
I nodded in agreement, slowly starting to catch my breath. "It was just, it was just a, a, bad dream." I said calming down. I wasn't fully awake; I closed my eyes and somehow managed to fall back asleep without saying anything else.
When I woke up again, it was actually morning time. I was alone in the bed; with the covers delicately tucked in around me. Isaac must've already gotten up. I laid on my back with my eyes semi shut reaching for my phone that was on the night stand. When I got it, I saw the time was 8:17 in the morning. I wasn't sure what time it was exactly when I feel asleep last night, but it seemed like I slept forever. I saw I had a missed call from Scott with a voice mail, and a missed text from Stiles too. The text just asked when they should come over. I listened to the voice mail and it was the same thing, asking when everyone should come over so we can talk about Jackson.
As I put down my phone, Isaac appeared in the doorway; "I thought I heard you up" he said, "Peter made coffee if you want some." So Peter did make it home last night.
I shook my head, "okay, thank you" I said. "So Scott and Stiles both want to know when to come over..? Scott called like 15 minutes ago, Stiles texted me at 7:30."
"I've talked to them both, I told them around 9, 9:15" he replied.
I smiled and sat up in his bed. "Okay, I'll change and we can leave". He nodded and left me to get ready. Looking around his room I realized that Isaac didn't have many things. He had no pictures on the walls, no momentos on his shelves. He had his lacrosse bag in a corner next to an almost empty shelf that held 2 books and a glass figurine of a wolf. His bare walls, an ice cold blue color were oddly comforting.
I got up and changed out of Isaac's clothes and into mine. I place the clothes on the end of the bed after I made up the bed. My bag was by the door where I'd left it last night. I picked it up on my way out to the living area where Isaac was so we could leave to meet Scott and Stiles to figure everything out. I had no idea how either of them would react and if they had a plan. Or how we were going to deal with this.
Derek handed me a cup of coffee, "I figure you don't take it black"
"Thanks" I said looking down at the sand colored drink, "and no I don't" I said with a little laugh. I looked behind me to see if Isaac was in the living room and he wasn't.
"He's in your car waiting" Derek said
"Okay," I noticed he had left the loft door open "thanks again for the coffee!" I said walking out the door.
"No problem, and good luck with Scott and Stiles."
