Bittersweet

Yesterday night, I kissed a boy I'll probably never see again.
But all the last one left you with was bad memories... He left you with a sweater, his scent lingering.
Waiting on the escalator, the song Breakeven plays.
You promised you'd wash it, that you'd never wear that jumper again.
And that song was my ringtone too
"AND WHEN A HEART BREAKS NO IT DON'T BREAK EVEN!"
I answered the buzzing in my pocket.
"Hello, Ari, I miss you!"
"You left...your...sweater here."
And my brain is full of you
My heart aches with you
My house still smells of you
And I miss you too...
And it means NOTHING now.
Because you don't miss me the way I miss you.
