"Ma I'll be back ok?" I walked out the door, hopped on my bike and headed downtown to meet up with Kash. I had to check my surroundings knowing my brother he'll follow me. I took a short cut to get to Kash's place, luckily I don't live too far from downtown; I came up and found the address he gave me, I knew I had the right place when I saw the Mazda parked outside. I hid my bike on the side, and came upfront, the same guy who pushed up on me the other day was standing at the door. He mugged me as he opened the door and allowed me to come in, I walked in this dimmed light room, music playing loud, and people all over the room. I walked slowly looking around admiring the scenery, "ah glad you made it Davon, follow me upstairs to my office" as I followed him, this fine ass dark skinned woman nearly naked came and offered me a beverage as fine as she was I couldn't say no. She gave me a glass and I just ran upstairs to his office, "Have a seat... I see you took upon my offer, this is my place of business and I take care of my employees but this is also commission based" now mind you, I'm only 16 the only job I held was a paper boy gig back when I was 11, so I have no experience in what this man want me to do and the fact he said commission based... That mean I have to put in some work. "You can work your way up to my position after years of hard work and strive. But you'll be a runner... Foot soldier, you'll have someone to report to, any product you sell and get money from is yours just check in with the person who's with you letting them know you made the deal". What he was saying sounded so good, but I wasn't sure on how long I could keep this from Tony.

"Damnit where is that boy? Antonio! Go find your brother" Damn... I didn't get in the house good enough before my mom hollering about my brother "alright ma gimme a minute " I put my stuff down and tried to find the mail to see if I had anything in the mail from Colleges, I looked over seeing a pile of books as I moved the books a yellow envelope fell to the floor; as I leaned down picking it up I opened the envelope as it read: "Dear Resident, after several attempts and being past due on your rent you have 30 days to find another place to live, sorry for this notice" as I read it and realized that this was an eviction notice. I didn't understand on how we could be behind on our rent when my aunt gives my mom money every month for rent. My only question was where is the money going? I walked to my mom room and stood there holding the notice up "ma... What's this" she turned around and looked up at me with nothing to say. She just held her mouth and sat down "we're getting evicted Tony... And honestly I don't know where we're going to stay cause I have no money, no job, no family .. We're gonna have to stay in a shelter until I figure something out" as much as I wanted to cry... I didn't instead I got upset "where's all the money Aunt Sharon sent us huh? WHERE IS IT MOMMA! If it's not going to rent and you sitting here saying you broke meaning you did something to the money " she couldn't answer me all she could do was hold her face and shed tears. "She stopped sending me money last month, cause I-I-I smoked it up...." As those words escaped her mouth I just stepped back... This whole time I'm thinking she was clean, she went back. I couldn't say anything to her I was lost for words, I just left her room and ran outside. I had no clue on what I was going to do nor did I even have the slightest idea on where my brother was at..

As I rode my bike home, I saw Tony .. I rode up on him noticing he wasn't in the best of moods "where the fuck you been kid!" Whew.. Yeah he wasn't in the best of moods at all the way he came at me just now "I had went to go see a friend dang calm down, what's up with you?" As I looked up at him, he just shook his head and walked off, I grabbed his arm as he paused and turned around "we're getting evicted, mom wasn't gonna tell us about it neither... Aunt Sharon stopped sending money all cause momma back on drugs again, I don't know what to do Dee... We about to lose everything and I'm trying to make it until I graduate but I might have to quit in order to help us" I just froze, couldn't move couldn't think ... Nothing. "Bro... I know where we can make quick money"

I just looked over at him, I knew exactly what he was about to say.. As much as I don't want to I just knew I didn't have much options. "Let's go..." That nearly killed me saying, but I wanted to stay where I was at or get something better for the sake of my sibilings.. As I followed him to Kash's I just shook my head at only God knows how all of this is going to turn out...
