School felt like it was going by slow for me, everything I've done for the past month been going at a fast pace that I couldn't take school serious anymore, but I realized... I can't be a hustler for the rest of my life, especially a dumb one.
Graduation seemed like it wasn't coming fast enough, but I started to feel discouraged about these recruiters; they've been coming to my games but haven't heard anything from them... Not even a letter. But, I couldn't allow that to weigh me down had to stop spending money recklessly and start saving now just in case I never get that scholarship.
My phone had vibrated, luckily the bell rung for dismissal; I looked at and noticed it was Davon... It's been nearly a month going on two since Davon and I actually held a conversation you would think just because we live together we would speak but it's always a mug or we're never home.
He wanted to meet with me after school, but I have OJT so I was done with my classes for today, so as I awaited for him to finish his last class I went ahead and made my way to the gym.
While I sat up in the bleachers and waited I overheard a group of guys talking about the death of Gerald, I never did know what happened just knew Davon was distraught since he lost his boy. As I placed one ear bud in my ear and looked down at my phone to make it seem I was listening to music; I continued to listen to the conversation.
Yeah man... I heard OG Kash knocked Gerald off, all because he ran his mouth and was doing shit that Kash didn't like.
My eyes widen as I heard that, I never had a clue that Gerald was even working for Kash... But, I wonder why in the beginning.
-Davon
I walked out of class and made my way towards the gym. My head was killing me and my body ache, I've been feeling a little under the weather for the past two days but I can't allow that to stop what needs to be done.
I walked through the doors, and felt like all eyes were on me, everyone looking at me and snickering probably due to the fact that Gerald was indeed my best friend..
I stepped up the bleachers meeting with Tony.
"So... What's up?"
"Shit, haven't heard from you just wanted to know if my baby brother was still living"
I really wasn't in no mood for his sarcasm it was enough I was even here speaking to him.
"Yeah.. I'm cool...noticed you haven't been home lately, what's up with that?"
The look in his eyes already proved to me that he wasn't about to explain, either he got a new bitch... Or he running the game like me.... But, with somebody new.

I knew off the top he wanted to know about my whereabouts, but due to everything that's going on lately I couldn't risk it... Not now at least.
"Got a new shorty I been kicking with lately... She been keeping me occupied" I said.
He just smirked and nodded as he looked down at his watch checking for time.
"Need a ride home b?"
"Nah... I got some things to take care of before I head that way; but nice talking with you Antonio" he responded sarcastically.
It took everything in my power not to jump up and smack him upside the head, but I realized that wouldn't of done any good.
