3rd persons POV

It had been four months since Lexy and Emily had left Mack. They had caught wind of a few cases, but they were just easy salt and burns. They longed for a challenge....

Emily was searching for anything weird on the internet from their crappy motel room. Until, she came across some brutal murders in Pontiac, Illinois.

"LEXY! I think I found a case in Illinois." Emily yelled at her cousin. Lexy came from the kitchen with a piece of cake on a plate. Emily rolled her eyes at her cousin.

"What did you find, Em?" She asked hiding the excitement and hope in her voice. Her attention turned from her cousin to the computer screen.

"Apparently in Pontiac, there have been 'wild animal attacks' in the woods," Emily made air quotes in the air, " but I dont think so. The victims torn to shreds and their hearts were missing and also some chunks of skin. There are also some disappearances in that town that were just reported."

Lexy thought about the information and made a list of possible monsters it could be.

"It could be a werewolf," She suggested taking a bite of her cake, "or a wendigo"

"It couldn't be a werewolf because the lunar cycle isn't right; but its could be a wendigo. That would explain the bodies being found in the forest." Emily thought out loud as Lexy finished off the cake.

Lexy nodded and pulled two fake FBI badges and two stolen credit cards.

"Off to Illinois then, Agent Palmer!" Lexy playfully exclaimed.

"Awesome...Agent McGee." Emily said while looking at the badge.

They got all their supplies together and hurried out the door into the lobby of the motel. Lexy pulled out the fake card and paid for their room. As the receptionist handed back the card, Lexy and Emily walked out to the door and each got inside their cars since they had nowhere to keep them and drove to Pontiac.

Seven long hours later, they arrived in Pontiac and parked in a motel parking lot.

"Huh. Hey Em ready to stay at the Star moon?" Lexy asked chuckling. Emily gave a small nod while laughing. They walked into the lobby and walked up to the receptionist.

"Hi...um Lucas. Can we have a two bed room for a week, please?" Emily asked giving a small smile. Lucas was about 5'11, had dirty blonde hair and turquoise eyes. He was cute but they weren't here to flirt.

"Sure babycakes, will that be cash or credit?" He asked while Lexy rolled her eyes for the nickname he gave Em.

Emily smiled and said,"Credit." She held out the card and waited for the room key.

Lucas ripped the reciet and wrote something down. Probably his number, both Lex and Em thought.

He handed her the reciet and key. Emily and Lexy confirmed the thought by looking on the back to find his number.

"Lucas stop bothering these girls!" A girl scolded. Emily and Lexy turned around to find a girl about their age standing there. She had golden brown hair with blonde highlights and hazel green eyes. She was pretty.

"Hi, I'm sorry about my brother. I'm Lorelai Davis and I partly run this motel." She said smiling brightly. They both looked shocked.

"H-how old are you? Oh this is my cousin Emily and I'm Lexy" Lexy introduced themselves.

Lorelai threw her head back in laughter,"I'm sixteen. Funny thing is I basically keep this place running; and with this wen- with all these murders there has been a short of business." Lorelai cut herself off before saying something bad. Emily and Lexy caught her mistake. Could she be a hunter, Lexy thought.

"Hey, Lorelai wanna come join us in our room for girl talk?" Emily asked as if reading her cousins mind.

Lorelai's hazel eyes lit a up as she nodded with a huge smile on her face.

As they walked to their room Emily started to talk," So Lorelai, why did you cut yourself off earlier?"

Lorelai looked down," I made a mistake when speaking nothing else."

"Well what you about to say? I'm quite curious," Lexy pushed the issue to see if her theory was correct.

"Um, you would be confused but I was about to say with this wendigo around business is tight," Lorelai confessed.

"Ah, so we were right you are a hunter," Emily said nonchalantly. Lorelai was confused but then a look of understanding came over her face.

"Yes, I was taught when I was 5. Started hunting when I was 13. I'm guessing ya'll are to?" Lorelai asked. They both nodded.

"Same here. You wanna help us with our case. Hey is your brother a hunter?" Lexy asked annoyed of he was.

"No, Lucas is a big baby. He would scream if he even knew about it and sure I have already found its hideout." She told them.

"Great we go tomorrow morning. But I need my four hours," Emily said opening the door to their room and flopping on the bed. Lorelai laughed and said she would take the couch. Lexy nodded and slid into the bed.

"It's this way," Lorelai pointed to an old mining shaft. The girls nodded and walked behind her with their miniature self-built flame throwers.

As they walked through the mining shaft, they heard calls for help. They looked at each other and nodded getting the flame thrower fired up. They followed the pleas and found the monster about to eat its next victim.

"Hey douche nozzle, how about you step away from the young man!" Lorelai roared as the girls tried to keep their laughter in from hearing Lorelai's nickname for the wendigo.

The wendigo made it's way over to them and Lexy and Emily shot fire at it. As it incenerated, Lorelai ran over and untied the young man.

"Someone call 911 he's lost a lot of blood!" Lorelai shouted.

"He will be safe Em, dont worry. Lex you take care OK." Lorelai said slightly sad that her friends were leaving.

"Lorelai join us, we would love to have you cone with us." Emily pleaded.

Lorelai's head shot up,"You mean it? I mean I been have an old log cabin here that belongs to me where we can set up base and park cars!" Emily and Lexy nodded.

"Yes! Here come on let me show you my truck." They walked over to a very well taken care of red F-150 Platinum 4x4.

"Wow, it's beautiful!" Lexy said in awe. Lorelai shook her head and handed then a jacket.

"You are gonna need one of these." She stated," Follow me."

Lorelai parked in front of a huge log cabin. She hopped out of the truck and giggled at the two teenagers gawking at the cabin.

"Come on, there is more inside!" She yelled excitedly.

Lexy and Emily followed her through the cabin. Then, she suddenly stopped at two enormous doors.

"This my friends is where we will set up shop," Lorelai calmly stated while opening the doors. Inside there was every book about every monster. There was a long table that had three laptops and manilla folders spread everywhere.

"Let's begin!" Emily yelled with excitement in her blue eyes.

*10 years later*

"Hey I found a case!" Lexy yelled.
