Lorelai's PoV
"Hey, I found a case!" Lexy yelled. I maneuvered through the bookcases. It had been ten years since we met. We have had our fair share of dangerous cases. But most of the time we got salt and burns. We were dangerous and the monsters knew it. I sat down at another table where Emily and my food was."What is it this time, Lex?" I asked. She came over to our table and threw the file on the table. I picked it up and read the case. I was considered the nerd so I always did this.
"There have been three different murders. Each involving a lot of blood. But get this, I've done some research and none of the families are related in any way. Like, they're completely different. The survivors were the men. The women were killed while the men survived." She explained. This made me start to think. This was something nasty.
This thing has it out for women but not men. Something in it's past made it hate women. It's not a werewolf, the heart was still there and it would have killed both genders, I thought.
"Vengeful spirit, maybe?" Emily added. It was possible but there was no connection whatsoever. So nothing to be vengeful about.
"I don't think so, Em." I told her. No, Em. This is much nastier, my last thought was before we headed out the door and got in the Impala. We were close to the city so the drive wasn't long. We talked and sang along to AC/DC or Bon Jovi. This quieted down when the police scanner started going off about another murder.
Lexi spoke up after it quieted down, "Guys new plan. We're going to split up. Em, I think you should go to the scene we are heading to. Lori, maybe you could go and interrogate one of the families. I'll go to the most recent killing." Me and Em nodded. We proceeded to turn around and get into our cars; each of us taking a women suit. This suit included a black pencil skirt, a white blouse, and a black blazer.
"Let's get together at one of the restruants!" I yelled before hopping into my F-150 and driving off.
_____________I pulled up to the house of the first victims family. It was a nice looking house. I hopped out of my truck slipping my feet into the black heels and then fixed my blazer. Grabbing my badge, I walked up to the house. I got the creepy feeling I was being watched. I brushed it off and knocked on the door.
"Hello, young lady. How may I help you?" An elderly woman asked answering the door.
"Hi ma'am. I'm Agent McKenzie from the FBI and I'm here to ask you some questions about your daughter." I said showing my badge and added a sweet smile to tell her I wasn't going to hurt her.
"Please, come in." She opened the door and I nodded at her in thanks. She led me to the couch.
"You certainly are the youngest agent I've ever seen. Oh, would you like anything dear?" She asked.
"Thank you, but I dont want to over extend my stay. All I can say that I worked hard in my department to get where I am." I say that way not to raise suspicion. "Ma'am was your daughter acting weird before her death?"
"No, Leanne was as happy as always. But she did have a fight with her husband that week. I should know I was there visiting." She replied with a sad look on her face.
"Did your daughter have any enemies? Would anyone want to hurt Leanne?" I continued with regular questions before getting to the weird ones. The lady just shook her head.
"Did you smell anything weird or see anything weird on you visit?" I asked keeping my facial expression the same.
Her face turned to a weird expression, "I didn't smell anything but in my room there was black ooze coming out of the electrical outlit. It was certainly weird. But what does that have to do with anything?" She asked as I was hung on the black ooze.
"Just routine questions ma'am. Thank you though because I'll be taking my leave now." I shook her hand and walked out the door and put my sunglasses on. I grabbed my phone and typed in Lexy's number.
"Hey, what did you find?" Lexy questioned picking up.
"Lexy it's something nasty. Lex it's a poltergeist the mother saw black ooze dripping from the electrical appliances." I said in a whisper in case anyone was around.
"Fudge nuggets! That's bad Lori. Um, I'll call Emily and tell her. I'll go get a motel room so we can have a private meet up together." She told me.
"OK I'll go to the county records and see what I can find." I said.
"Alright. Be safe and come home please." She hung up after that. I continued to walk down the driveway. On the way down, a man caught my sights. He had dark brown hair, azure blue eyes, and had a trenchcoat on. But what really caught my attention was the realistic black wings that peeked over his shoulders. He seemed to be staring at me. I walked closer to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me.
"Um, excuse me this might sound like a weird request, but um could you turn around please" I asked once I got to him. He didn't say anything and he turned around. There on his back rested beautiful black wings. Strange, I thought. I brought my hand up and stroked them softly. They shook almost as shivering.
"Their beautiful," I whispered to him. He turned around quickly and looked at me in shock.
"You can see them?" He questioned as they shook, clearly liking the attention I was giving them.
"Who couldn't they're right there." I stated getting lost in his beautiful azure eyes. His look of shock went away and a look of something I couldn't came across his eyes.
"I'm going to have to ask you to come with me." He said. I looked at him confused.
"Uh, sure but if you're trying to kill me I'm going to let you know that I am a highly trained proffesional at karate." I told him. It was true but I didn't want to mess up his adorable face. He nodded and I proceeded to grab his hand and drag him to my truck.
"Where are we going, um..." I didn't know his name.
"I am Castiel. An angel of the Lord." He said very seriously. I shrugged I had enough proof with his wings.
"Well, I'm Lorelai. So where are we going ,Cas?" I said smiling brightly.
"Zillow Motel. I need to be there as soon as possible." He stated still staring at me.
"Aye Aye, bumblebee!" I soluted. He was like a bumblebee. Apparently, he liked the nickname because he smiled at me. Actually, it was like this the whole time. He just stared at me like I was the only one there.
But that ended as soon as soon as I pulled up to the parking lot.
"Hey there's Lexy's GTO!" I jumped out the car and started to run, pulling my highlighted hair into a ponytail.
"Lorelai wait!" Cas called. I stopped and turned around and held onto my arm. Suddenly, I was in a room where four people were. I recognized Emmy and Lex, but the other two I didn't know.
"Lorelai, Lexy told me you figured it out! Like you always do." Emily said sarcastically. Then hugged me.
"Lorelai, who's he?" Lexy said walking up to me.
"Oh, this is my new friend, Cas!" I looked at Cas and smiled. He smiled back.
