I hated it. I fucking hated it. I hated how I'd allowed myself to be vulnerable in front of someone, that I'd allowed someone to see that side of me. I hated most of all that it was Nikolai who saw it first. He, of all people should never be abke to see that side of me, I don't care what my heart thinks, my brain tells me I shouldn't fully trust him.

Although, truth be told, I was starting to listen more to my heart and less to my brain. Even now as Niko stared at me, worry clear in his ruby-coloured eyes. My brain told be to leave him, my heart told me to assure him.

So I did.

I leaned over, wrapping my arms around him. I wasn't big on physical touch, not usually anyway. But I didn't hate it with him.

"Thank you," I whispered, my voice still hoarse.

"No problem," Niko answered. "I'm here for you. Always,"

I wanted to believe that. Believe that no matter what he'd always be by my side. But I couldn't bring myself to. Not after the last time I'd trusted someone.

"You wanna watch a movie or something?" Niko asked, seemingly unsure of what to say now, I just nodded, not really wanting to talk about my panic attack. Niko lead me to the living room and went on Netflix as I flopped onto the couch.

"What movie do you want to watch?' he asked, glancing down at me.

"I shrugged, "Anything horror works for me"

Niko groaned in frustration "I hate horror, the jumpscares always get me," he whined. I laughed at him, he was the first teenager I'd heard admit such a thing. When I finally got a hold of myself I realised he was staring at me.

"What?" I asked, nervousness washing over me.

"Your laugh," he said, "It's cute,"

My face heated at his words. "Thanks," I replied, too flustered to say anything else.

Niko handed me the remote and I searched for horror movies, I landed on The Conjuring, but before I could even press anything, Niko dove at me, trying to get the remote.

"No! Anything but that!" He protested, grabbing my hips and pulling me under the him.

"Why?!" I complained, trying to escape his grasp. Niko grabbed my wrists, restraining me. I raised my legs under him to kick him off me which sent us both tumbling to the ground.

I heard Niko grunt as I landed on top of him. Thinking I had the advantage I tried to pull my wrists from his hold. Niko flipped us over so he was above me, straddling my waist.

Niko hadn't realised the position we were in.

But I definetly had.

I stopped fighting him as heat stirred low in my abdomen.

Niko noticed and stared down at me, I shifted in place, praying he didn't notice.

But he did.

"Ohhh..." His smirk turned downright wolfish. "Are you enjoying this position or is there another remote in your pants?"
