Chapter 16

MAVIS

I groaned as my phone buzzed and the sun's rays beams in my eyes, Eleanor should really stop folding my curtains. I grabbed my phone randomly, until I found it beside my waist, before I checked the message, I looked at the time, Eleven in the morning.

Yesterday was really a bit fun for me, in an evil way though, playing along with him wasn't really that bad.

I tapped on my phone, reavealing the message. I mumbly read it, saying Eleanor was at Louis' flat, along with the others, they still had this free day. I came up and sat on my bed, yawning contagiously (A/N: AAOOD yeah, sorry.) , I slid on my bunny slippers that Eleanor gave me. It wasn't even my type.

I walked like a zombie to the kitchen, I directly went infront of the fridge, opening it sleepily, I grabbed and drank some water. I almost spit the water when my phone rang, revealing my loud ringtone:

"I'm gonna pop some tags

Only got twenty dollars in my pocket

I - I -I'm hunting, looking for a come up

this is fu--"

"Hello?" I answered, bring the phone near to my right ear.

"Good greetings, Mavis!" A familiar voice ringed in the other side of the phone, yet I can't put a finger on it.

"Uhm, who's this?" I awkwardly asked.

"Gracious dear! It's Aunt Cleo!" She answered, I suddenly grinned widely because it was her. "I mean, Cleo." She added.

"Oh hey, yeah, Thanks for the helping me getting out of jail. I really owe you alot, especially when you gave money--"

"Naw, shut up kid." She chuckled, "Thats why I love you!"

"Love you too," I playfully cooed, "What makes you call me, Cleo?" I asked, I always call her by just her name, because she me calling her 'aunt' because she thinks it's old.

"Yeah, I really wanted you to meet someone so, I'm inviting you to come here at California, You could bring Eleanor too."

My mouth dropped as she speaks confidently. Me? Eleanor? CALIFORNIA?!

"Uhh, that's great!" I exclaimed awkwardly, "But who's this someone?"

"It's a surprise, you'll love 'him'." She chuckled, and me curiously wondering who was 'he.'

"But where are we staying?"

"The penthouse near the beach. And it's kinda big though..." It was big, like three rooms with bathrooms and two floors. And me and just Eleanor staying there? That's creepy.

"Where's you and Chelsea staying?" I asked concernly.

"Oh don't worry, we bought a house near your old house and the penthouse, just the other side of the road."

Awkward silence followed then, and me not knowing not to answer.

"So are you comming?" She finally asked.

The cemetery.

My old house.

The beach.

The road where my parents died.

All of that, was in California.

"Uh-uhm, maybe, err. Yeah, sure why not?" I nervously/awkwardly answered, scratching the back of my head.

"That's great! I'll text you some infos and send you the tickets. See you soon, I love you!" She cooed, before I can speak back, she hanged up.

I quickly ran and locked the flat when El finally texted Louis' address flat. I passed by the familiar tall buildings, ran into people, and almost tripping because my converse shoe laces wasn't tied neatly. I passed by some houses, finding the right house of Louis.
