going to try and make this chapter longer👌
Annabeth's POV
"Seriously! We just so happened to miss that as we ran into camp!" I basically scream. This can not be happening! Now the whole camp is in danger and monsters can freely walk in and try and kill us. Great, just great.
Percy doesn't say anything and just sits with his jaw hanging. I can't exactly tell what he was thinking...
but then again, nobody really can tell.
It was obvious he was surprised though.
"We went through all that trouble to get the fleece and now we gotta go and get it back?" He asked, obviously annoyed by this new information.
Chiron nods, rubbing his forehead with his hands.
"Well who's going to go and find it?" I ask, looking at Chiron, expecting an answer."We have no clue where it could be and Rachel hasn't given a prophecy! I just felt you two should know. For now just go home and go to school like a normal teenager would and if anything comes up, tell me immediately."
Percy and I nod our heads in understanding and look at each other.
"I guess we should head out then," Percy states, running his hand through his hair. I would have drooled if this wasn't a serious matter.I slowly walk towards the door, Percy trailing behind.
"Good luck, Iris message me if anything comes up," I nod to Chiron, signaling we, or I at least, understand. On our way out we stop by the Thalia's tree. I put my hand on it's trunk and looked stared where the fleece should be. Looking back at Percy, he seemed to be doing the same. As he noticed my glance, he walks over and hugs me from behind, resting his chin on my shoulder. I don't know what I would do if the fleece isn't found and Camp Half-Blood is invaded with monsters. I basically grew up here.
I sink into Percy's chest, soothed by his warm touch.
"We should probably head home before my mom worries too much," he whispers in my ear. I simply nod my head and we walk towards the cab, hand in hand. I look up at Percy and I know that whatever happens, we'll go through it together."I love you Percy."
"I love you too Annabeth," he kisses me softly before pulling away and I get in the cab.
The ride back is peaceful. Besides my thoughts taking over, I'd say it was quite relaxing. Mainly all I did was stare out the window.
NOTE: I'm lowkey obsessed with this. I wrote this story with my best friend in like 5th grade and let me just say, we were freaking geniuses. It's absolutely insane to me that I'm now a sophomore in college. Anyway, here's a chapter that I wrote like 8 YEARS ago
