PIPER

Piper snickered as she hid behind a bush with Leo, waiting for the explosion.

She and Leo had made a goal to prank every cabin before the summer was her, without anyone figuring out it was them. So far, they had pranked Cabins one, three, four, six, ten, eleven, twenty, and Calypso's room in the big house.

They had pinned their crimes on Percy, the Stolls, Katie Gardener, Cecil, Lou Ellen, and Chris respectively, and they had received no accusations yet, so Piper was feeling pretty confident with this prank.

Leo poked Piper's side, and she turned her attention to cabin eighteen. "Ten seconds." Leo whispered, his finger hovered over a red button on a remote, and Piper stifled a laugh. Ten seconds left for the Hebe kids...

"Three...Two...One!" A huge explosion of blue powder burst out of the cabin windows, and Piper could hear screams from inside.

"Nice!" She whispered to Leo, and gave him a fist bump. He grinned in response, putting the remote back into his tool belt.

"Let's get out of here." He whispered, and the twosome sneaked out from behind the bush, still holding back laughter.

Piper risked a glance backwards, and she saw kids pouring out from the cabin, all of them covered in a thick blue powder that would itch like crazy in the morning.

"Oh no, Leo go!" Piper gasped as one of the Hebe campers spotted them, and pointed them out to her siblings frantically.

They abandoned stealth as they sprinted into the woods. "Bunker nine!" Leo said, and he guided Piper through the trees.

They arrived at bunker nine, and as soon as they were in the door Leo punched a button on the wall and the cliff face closed immediately.

Piper slumped against the door, panting.

"Well there goes our perfect record." Leo grumbled, whipping out a notebook. "This will make things a bit more difficult."

Piper nodded agreement, still out of breath. "So what do we do? Wait a couple weeks to start up again? I don't think they'll trace the others to us, we found scapegoats."

"Yeah, we're safe on those. I still laugh every time I picture Percy's face when the Hermes kids strung him up in a tree because they found the cans of spray paint in his cabin."

Piper laughed, his expression had been priceless. "So wait it out a couple of weeks? Who was next on the list?"

"The Nike kids. But they can wait. How about the twenty sixth?" Leo said, chewing on the back of his pen.

"Deal. It's best we don't associate too much until then, especially since the Hebe kids saw us." Piper replied, pressing the button to open the doors of bunker nine. "See you later!" She called over her shoulder and walked back to her cabin.

The afternoon passed uneventfully, Piper leading her cabin through their daily activities. At dinner, she saw the very unhappy blue Hebe kids glaring at her and Leo, and she ducked under the table to conceal her laughter.

As Piper got ready for bed, she had a feeling she was being watched, but she brushed it off. She was way too used to being on the Argo II, open to attack at all time.
