Ari couldn't brake. She had never gone that fast before, and she just dug her heels into the ground. The resultant friction caused her shoes to screech and smoke until they disintegrated but the girl managed roll to a stop.
With a gasp, she looked up.
Somehow, the monster was now airborne as a spectacular sight unveiled in the skies of Norock. A streak of golden light was zipping through the air and impacting the monster at unbelievably high speeds. Ari squinted, her brilliant eye sight allowing her to register that the man flying in the sky was her hero, Dragon.
She barely had time to understand how he was here before a roar echoed all throughout the sky. At first, she thought it was the monster but when she realized it was Dragon screaming, her hairs all stood on end.
The sky seemed to be dotted with stars as Dragon started glowing brighter and going faster than ever, using every power available in his arsenal. It was much more beautiful than the fights in Ari and Imti's game, the girl realized as she stared, awestruck, at the incredible sight.
Some of citizens had also stopped screaming as they looked up the beautiful dance occurring in the sky. The ones who hadn't were being herded and evacuated to one of the intact houses by Yarane as she tried her best to bite her lips and ignore the fight. When she spotted Ari, however, she immediately began running over.
Above, in the span of a few seconds, Dragon did a few things. As gravity began overpowering his own impacts, the monster wailed and began to fall like a meteorite, which would inevitably land and wipe out what remained on the ground. And so, he sighed, smiled and pressed the button on his Drive for the last time.
Now you know what to do, he thought.
As the sculpted dragon on the device started to move smoothly in an 'S' shape, Dragon looked down at the ground in order to try and get one last look at Yarane. He could spot her, a little dot miles below, but he imagined that her face looked as beautiful as ever bathed in the golden light.
The dragon on the device began to glow and then grew stupendously large in size, before leaving the Device and surrounding Dragon in a cocoon of light. It continued spinning around until Dragon's body erupted, and out of the resulting ball of energy came multitudes of gigantic dragons, all made of light. They were long, very long and missing wings. Instead, they seemed to be eastern dragons, with beards and whiskers and limbs dotting their long torso. They all screeched and flowed royally through the air after uncoiling themselves, shooting directly at the falling monster. The creatures seemed to be kilometres wide, filling the sky and brightening it up more than the sun ever did. With one last roar that sent chills of appreciation down everyone's spine, all the dragons crashed into the monster, ripping apart it's top half until Imti's father was no more.
Yarane screamed and fell to her knees, hugging her whole body while Ari remained speechless, stuck in place. The extreme light illuminated her irises, revealing the red light still glinting in them. She had never felt like this before, as her entire body seemed to be elated and ready to fly away as she stared at the dance of the dragons above her.
She noticed the bottom half of the monster, the one containing her mother, careened towards the ground and finally crash into the burning building, crushing what remained of the top floor into dust. Immediately springing into action, Ari once again kicked herself into gear and ran at superhuman speeds into the plumes, leaving Yarane behind.
