Promises

I promise to help guide you through the darkness, it's the only world I know

If you guide me through the light, because the darkness made me blind to hope.

I promise to be your anchor when the waters all become rough,

If you'll be the wind in my sails when the sea is calm enough.

I promise to try my hardest, to help you through your path

If you will stand beside me when I can't step farther down the track.

I promise to carry you, when your feet become too sore

If you promise to also let me hold you and keep you safe from every storm.

If you ever so want to reverse our roles a word is all that's needed

So long as our promises are intact by the three words we believe in:

"I love you" "forever and always" "Tons and Tons" "You'll be alright"

"I'll do anything," "of course love," to help you sleep at night.
