"I visited Richard today, he looked terrible! I don't understand why this was so necessary, he could've been dead. I'm going to have a word with them, they said it was save to do."
*Beeb! *Beeb!
"Shit!" They have noticed that I'm gone so they putted the alarm on. I ran throught the corridors finding my way. I didn't know where to go, al corridors looked the same. Finally I came across an elevator but they were on my tail, about five of them. The elevator was still a few metres away so I ran for my life. I did my best but my left leg wasn't cöoperating. Just before I could reach the doors they graped me from behind. "Mr. Dekker, you know you have to stay in your bed until your leg has healed!"
It was one of the doctors treating me. I've been in the hospital for five weeks now without breathing some fresh air. They took me back to my room layed me on my bed. "Look who's back!" "Shut up." I said. The nice commend came from Jack, my new roommate for the time being. Jack was a about 70 years old and had grey hair and a big grey moustache. He was here for his heard, I had to share the room with him after I came out of my coma. Jack was nice company and although he said my escape attempt would fail he swore that he wouldn't tell the doctors.
"I said you wouldn't make it. So, how far did you get?" "Till the elevator, about fifteen corridors from here." "Well, at least you had a nice walk." It was about seven O'clock so we would get food soon. "what are they serving today?" I asked. "I thought they said beans." After a while the nurse came with the promised beans, and because this was a hospital they tasted awful. Then the door opened, I expected it to be the nurse that took our plates back but it was the doctor. "wassup doc?" I asked. "Ohh, hello Mr. Dekker." It was obvious that he wasn't happy with my so-called prison-break. "I'm here to tell you some good news. The news that I wanted to tell you before you interrupted me so rudely with your childish act." Yup, he wasn't happy at all. "tomorrow morning we'll take out your stitches and you're free to go home. One of the nurses will get you at 8:30 in the morning. Good night gentleman."

"Sorry Jack, I'm letting you behind in this hell." "Don't worry I think we'll meet again some time." I came back to get my stuff. They also gave me the clothes back that I wore when they brought me in, the Kevlar vest was torn apart and the boots were broken to. Luckily my shoulder holster and badge survived. The only thing that was missing was my gun, not the standard gun that you get at the academy but my very own Walter PKK. Then I also noticed that my knee holster was gone. "where are my guns?" I asked. "Sorry Mr. Dekker, we didn't know if you were aloud to carry one so there in the safe." "But I'm a police officer, I need my guns." This really pissed me of, the Walter PKK was a gift for Steve after I finished the police academy and the small Smith&Winchester revolver that belonged to the knee holster belonged to my father. The Walter was beautiful, not just black but silver with a wooden handle and golden engravings. "Don't worry you can get them back at the lobby if you show your ID."
After a while I had my guns back and carefully putted them in place were they belonged. It turned out that the hospital was miles away from my house and both Steve and Angelina had to work so they couldn't bring me home. I decided to take a cab home. Only a few seconds after I started searching for a cab I found one on the corner of the street. "Hello there, where're yah going mate?" The cab driver looked rather strange and behaved liked no other cab driver would. I quickly checked the licenses on the window, they were OK. Being a cop had advantages sometimes.
After a while I noticed that we weren't going in the right direction, we were driving into downtown. I spend most of my time in downtown and that isn't a good thing. "Hey man, where are you going to bring me?" I thought that he wanted to earn some extra money by driving further which happened a lot. Then, out of no were he stopped. I wasn't prepared for that so I fell over. When I came up again there was a gun pointed at me. "Get out of the car, no heroic jokes." I looked at the gun to check if it was real, it was.
I did as he said and reached for the door. "NO!" Of course the driver thought that I wanted to run away. He stepped out of the car, the gun didn't loos his target for one second. When he unlocked the door I found my chance; I kicked the door open into his stomach as hard as possible. "Fuck!" I heared him shouting, he wasn't that strong. I quickly graped my Walter and came out of the car. Before I was totally out of the car I heared a shot. The driver was panicking, he didn't expect a police officer of course. he was laying on the ground behind the at the drivers door. I shouted "Police, put your hands in the air!" and showed him the badge that normally hung around my neck. I heared him standing up and running away, I saw him ducking behind a dumpster. I came out of the car and ducked behind the engine. He didn't shoot, he probably didn't think that he had to, and now his gun was empty. "Come out with your hands behind your head!" I knew he wouldn't listen because well, the never do. Then he fired another shot, he wasn't good at all. The bullit bounced of the wall behind me. Instead of looking over the car I looked under it. I saw his feet and took the aim. I wasn't sure if I would hit because I hadn't don it for so long but I took the shot. An explosion, a splash of blood and a cry confirmed that I didn't miss. I stood up, still holding my gun and walked carefully towards the dumpster. "Hands were I can see them!" I shouted. "I-I surrender alright?" "You are now taken in custody, you have the right to remain silent, everything you do say can be used against you in the following process." I said (because I had to). "I-I'm sorry I didn't k-know." "What? that I was a cop? That is the most silly excuse I've ever heared. Would you do this to a normal person?" "C-can we arrange something?" "Ohh now you want to buy me? You have to right to remain silent, if I were you I would before I messed up even more."
I made sure the driver was secured and locked in the back of the cab before I graped my back and searched for my radio. I didn't have the chance because I heared more gunshots. I looked up and saw two black vans blocking the way out. The shooting definitely came from the passenger holding a desert eagle. The doors of the van opened and three men with mp5s came running at me. I quickly graped my Walter and shot one of the man in his shoulder while he was still running. The other two ducked for cover behind the dumpster. Their faces weren't visible because they wore Kevlar mouth protectors and a helmet. They started shooting and I took cover behind the car. I started shooting back but their cover was too good. Then the door of the second van opened and four more men came running out. Again I shot one in the stomach. The rest took cover behind the space between the houses. I noticed that I had only three bullits left in my gun and, of course I didn't have more ammunition. I looked at the left side of the car and shot another hitman in his arm. He putted his mp5 away and graped a handgun which I couldn't see clear. The other hitmen lost their attention for a while to look at the wounded one. I took my chance and ran to the driver seat of the car. I started the engine and drove backwards. The hitmen saw this and started shooting at the car. I ducked just in time before the bullits pierced the windscreen. I still kept going backwards, I knew that the mp5 only had a range up to fifty metres. I looked and saw that I was out of their range. I turned around and drove away.
I planned to go straight to the police station but after about two minutes the two black vans were on my tail. I took a turn so they couldn't shoot at me and came into the narrow streets. I made some turns and slowly made my way out of downtown. I came onto the highway and in my mirror I saw one of the vans in the distance. They probably wouldn't dare to shoot in traffic with all the security camera's.
