luke's p.o.v

its not that i wanted to piss her off, its just that i didn't want drama with michael. so far, he proved to be one of the coolest people in this boring, suburban town. but was it possible that she didn't remember me? the image of her face when she saw november topless and on top of me was burned into my memory-- of course she remembered me. she must have...

"ind, you ok? you're being weird..." michael inquired.

"wha- yeah...um yeah i'm ok!" she rushed out, just a little too quickly to make what she was saying believable.

"what's wrong, babe?" ashton frowned into his camera. hold up...did he just call her babe?

"oh are you two together?" i awkwardly forced a laugh. indigo's other wise gorgeous face was stained with a mask of confusion.

"he wishes!" indigo said, a rose-colored blush spreading on her cheeks.

"oh come on, babe, you know you love me." ashton giggled loudly--maybe even obnoxiously.

"what's it to you, hemmings? got a crush on my sister?"

"what? no! i mean she's not really...not really my type." the second those words slipped from my lips, i regretted it.

indigo's p.o.v.

did he honestly just say that?

"well that's good, i'm not into fuckboys. they aren't exactly my type." i smirked viciously as his face blushed fifty shades of embarrassment.

"damn! we got some tension here! you two know each other?" calum grinned crookedly.

"actually, no. i just know the type of person he is-- i mean be real, he's your typical fuckboy. just look at him." the awkward silence that soon sounded after the light laughter faded was just a bit over whelming.

"that's alright, luke. more for me." ashton attempted to ease the mood with his infectious giggle.

"i-i, um, i didn't mean to offend you, ind- um indigo." luke stuttered, offering an apologetic half-smile.

"you didn't, like i said, you're not my type either." i smirked.

after a few seconds of silence, michael decided to speak up.

"guys, we should go watch papertowns, i heard it's out and i hear it's good. its at 8:00!"

"ugh.. i dont know i read the book and it really wasn't that great." i said to try to get out of the situation.

"well what if the movie's better than the book? i think we should go...whose with me?" luke suggested.

"i'm in." ashton and calum agreed.

"great! then it's settled." michael spoke with excitement.

"but-" i began before i was cut off.

"ind, we're going. four against one." sometimes i hated how stubborn michael was.

"but i really don't want to. i think i'm sick." i said before i fake coughed, earning groans of annoyance from the boys.

"hold on. i'll be back guys." michael said with a smirk.

after a good twenty seconds of silence, my door flew wide open revealing my brother.

he went to my laptop, looked into the camera, and said "hold on guys, indie's going for a little swim in the pool."

"wait no, michael, please don't." i attempted, but i was too late. he was already picking me up.

"alright! i'll go! now put me the fuck down!" i yelled before we were even out of my room.

a surplus of cheers and laughs erupted before my cheeks blushed a shade of embarrassment as soon as i remembered that we were in a skype call.

"wait. under one condition...i'm driving. deal?"

"deal." everyone spoke, almost in synch.

"see you guys in 30 minutes. bye!" i said before pressing the end button.

"i hate you, michael. very much."

"i love you too, little baby indie!" he said making me laugh. "now go get changed, its 7 and you're still in pjs. you, my friend, are a slob."

i laughed as i looked down and confirmed his accusations. as you can tell i obviously have no life. this is how i spend my summer; home. last year i was a big partier, but that's in the past. ever since my [ex] boyfriend fucked my best friend, well ex best friend now, i never really felt like going out and i definitely don't feel like getting drunk.

after being ripped from my thoughts i pulled myself out of bed. i rubbed my face, contemplating what i was gonna wear. that's when i got an idea-- an amazing idea! i was gonna show luke what he missed out on.

with a victorious smirk, i went to my closet. i pulled out a black and white short-sleeved crop top with dark high-waisted shorts. i went under my bed to get my dirty white converse. after looking myself over for the 5th time, i decided that it would suffice. sure, it was a little revealing, but not an extremely exposing outfit, right?

i put on simple makeup, just some mascara and eyeliner-- i feel like it's too much of a bother taking off an entire face of makeup.

i took my hair out of the messy bun where it rested on lazily on my head. natural curls would complete the look.

i glanced at myself in the mirror now that i was completely ready. i looked good to be honest. i would date myself. okay wait no. thats weird.

i grabbed my phone and my car keys from my nightstand.

after telling michael that we were leaving, i went out into my old, beat-up, military jeep and started the ignition. this was gonna be a long night.
