Draco
I ran my hands through my hair and I looked into the mirror a final time. My cloak was tight against my chest and my broad shoulders were apparent. With a swift motion, I apparated to the Diagon Alley.
Down the street I could see the kids running in and out of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. I could see the aged women walking in Madam Malkin's in their luxury silk cloaks.
I was meeting my father at the pub nearby. As I walked there, the only thing I could think about was that curly hair, and that soft milky skin. Her beautiful brown eyes, I thought.
So beautiful... "-Draco." a voice interrupted. I was snapped out of my trance and I looked up from my shoes.
"Father." I said. I held out my hand for a shake and we walked into the pub.
"How many?" the waitress said, before smiling at my father.. yet looking me up and down.
Curly hair... I thought.
The waitress gave a seductive grin at me before guiding us to our small booth. "Send a shout whenever you are ready to order... Mr. Malfoy." she said slowly at me. I paid her no mind.
Brown eyes...
"So Draco. Do you know why I called upon you today?"
"No Father." I said.
"Well... It was more about family matters. Your family is particular. Hermione-"
"Ready to order?" the waitress interrupted, approaching our table once more.
"Ah yes..." my father said slowly. He was clearly annoyed at the sudden interruption. "I'll just have a fire whiskey. My son will have the same."
The waitress nodded at us before leaving us at our lonesome once more.
"You were saying." I said.
"Hermione seems particularly different from years ago."
"I agree." I said. Although, she wasn't different. She was still the headstrong girl I know. Actually, agree to disagree. Her breasts were looking a bit perkier... Must be the baby-
"I was thinking about the Malfoy industry." My father said interrupting my thoughts once more. "Your mother and I have plans for you to takeover."
I felt the wind knocked out of me. "You want me to have the company?" I was certainly appalled. I didn't expect this news for at least another couple of decades. "Are you serious father?"
"Yes... Indeed but there is a catch."
I almost jumped out of my seat, "Father, I'll do anything. I swear by it!" I wanted the company more than anything. The wealth, the social status... It was making my mouth water at the thought.
"I'm glad you are on board Draco. But the catch, is that you need a next of kin per se..."
"What do you mean father?"
"Well, a certain milady that spent the night just yesterday. I'll cut to the chase Draco. Your mother and I will only hand over the company if you pursue Hermione Granger and her- your daughter."
I was once again shocked. "You want me to 'pursue' Granger? As in date her?" I was certainly confused.
"No. We want you two to marry. You two will takeover the empire and the Malfoy Manor. And when you two pursue a family and have a son. He will then takeover and so forth. That is the only way you are getting Malfoy Inc. at all." My father proceeded to stand after finishing his drink. "It was nice sitting down with you Draco. I will see you at home."
I was still at a loss of words. Hermione wants nothing to do with me... especially after this morning.
As my father was leaving the booth, he turned around once more. "Draco. You have two months before this offer expires. Think about it clearly."
