Back to school

MAISIE'S POV

"Tyyyy?" I whine. "Whaaaaat?" he whines back. I love him. "Do we haaave to go back to schoool?" I ask even though I know the answer. "Yessss. We haven't gone to our normal school since winter!" He informs me. "Well thanks for the info!" I say sarcastically.

We left Cali after Christmas and now we have to go back to school after it's been in for a couple weeks. When we were gone, our moms made us finish up school using the same tutor Ty always uses when he can't go to school. Lucky, we only had to be tutored a couple months until summer; which is now over...

"Come on we're gonna miss the bus!" He says, pulling me up by my arm to get me off his bed. (My parents wouldn't let me sleepover at his house but I came over before we had to go.) "I don't wanna go!" I whine more while he pulls me out the door. (A/N: Omgosh that rhymes lol) "Here." He says and pulls a Snickers out from his backpack. I stare at him, but eventually take it. "What's this for?" I ask and take a bite. "You don't act like yourself when you're hungry." I take a second, but then start laughing like crazy. "This is why I love you weirdo." I smile at him and lean my head on his shoulder as we wait for the bus.

It eventually comes around the corner but a thought pops into my head that I need to be answered. "Ty? What do you think people will think of us dating?" He looks at me like I told him I was an alien. "What's it matter what people think? I love you and I know you love me so why would it matter what everyone thinks?" I smile at him. I really admire how he just does what he does and hopes people like it but doesn't care if they don't.

I kiss his lips once more before the bus stops. We stare at each other nervously. Its the first time we're going to school more than friends. I'm kinda worried. Ty gives me a reassuring smile and grabs my hand before we step onto the bus together.

Everyone stops what they're doing and stares at us. I bite my lip and look over to Ty. He just stares straight ahead, smiles and walks us to our seat.

The bus starts again and everybody starts whispering. Jurassic World's only been advertised on tv for a couple of days, there couldn't be too much buzz about it... "Well good it's about time they knew! We've been dating quite a while...unless you don't want people to know-" he says, sitting up straighter. "No! Ty I love you and I am NOT embarrassed by you! I love you!" I say before he could say more.

His face calms down and he sits back in his seat. I lean against his shoulder again. He kisses my forhead. All my worries just melt away right at that second. Being with him just makes me happier.

We pull up to the school and walk in, hand-in-hand. "Maisie!?!" I hear a familiar voice squeal. I turn around to confirm my thought. "Addi!!" I yell back. Ty covers his ears at the sound. "Ty?!" she yells again. "Hey Addi!" he waves. She looks down at our intertwined hands and gasps.

"No!" she asks in a weird way; like a 'you're kidding! This is great!' but also angry way . I look at Ty and nod. She screams happily, then frowns. "What?" I ask for Ty and I. "Why did I not do this?" She laughs. I smile and shrug. She's always kinda been my 'wing-gurl'.

The bell rings for first period warning. "We should go." Ty says. I nod and let him lead the way to our shared first class through the crowded hallway.
