Birthday Boy

TY'S POV

It's my birthday today! I'm finally turning 13! Chris invited most of our cast to his Jurassic birthday pool party with an automatic 'plus one' which I gave out to Ace. Nick also invited Ryan to be his plus one. I think they're dating now... If Nick and I are on-screen brothers, would Nick and Ryan be 'related' somehow? Probably not.

Chris is going to pick us up at the hotel we're staying at, but Nick's already here. He's riding with us to the party.

***(At the party)***

"Hey guys! Happy birthday Ty!" Bryce says excitedly as she walks by the pool. "Thanks!" I say back. "Hey Bryce! Hey?" Chris asks.

"What?" Bryce says. "You look a little dehydrated!" Chris says then pushes her into the pool water along with the dino floaties and toys. "You did NOT just do that!" Bryce says through laughs. The rest of us laugh too. "Well, what are you going to do about it?!"

She pulls Chris into the pool with her. Before he's pulled in, he grabs my hand to pull me in. I grab Ace's hand, who grabs Nick's, who grabs Ryan's. Soon enough, we're all in the pool throwing around a beach ball and splashing water on each other.

Nick and I get out and dry off. I guess I was staring at Ace too long... "What's up with you two?" Nick asks, gesturing to both of us. "Didn't I tell you?" I ask. "Tell me what?" I guess I didn't tell him we're a thing now. "Ace and I are dating now." I start smiling like crazy. I guess he notices. "You love her." He says teasingly. I nod my head. "Ya. I really do."

"Ha. Called it." Then he takes a sip from his drink. "Chris! You owe me 20 bucks!" Nick yells to Chris across the pool. I start to blush. Maisie tilts her head at me. 'I'll tell you later' I mouth back. She smiles and nods before she turns back to the others. I smile. She looks so happy. I want to keep her like this her whole life.

Chris comes, picks me up like Superman (which Ace takes a picture of, of course), and throws me into the pool.

Anna, Chris' wife, comes out of the house with a birthday cake lit with 13 candles. My mouth drops while I look around at everybody who must've known about this surprise.

We all get out of the water and they start singing, "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Tyyy!" Ace hugs me while singing along. "Happy birthday to youuuu!" They finish. "Well, make a wish!" Chris says impatiently. He obviously just wants the cake.

I look towards Ace who's egging me on to blow out the candles. "It's ready come true." I say, not taking my eyes off her. She bites her lip while looking down and smiling.

"Aww that's so cute! But I want cake! Blow out the candles or I will!" Bryce jokes. We all laugh before I blow out all the candles except for one.

Everybody 'oooo's. Ace hugs me from behind and kisses my cheek. "I guess she's the candle!" Chris laughs. Everyone laughs along and Anna cuts the cake.

We all look like chipmunks after we stuff our face with cake. I take the frosting from my plate and traced a moustache on Maisie. She starts laughing and takes a piece of cake in her hand threateningly. "Don't do it.." I warned, but she didn't listen. She threw the cake in her hand that I luckily dodged. It flew over my head and hit Chris right on the side of the head! Our mouths drop open; we try to keep from smiling as Chris slowly scraps it off his face. He starts chuckling. "So that's how it's gonna be, huh?" Maisie and I stare at each other with wide eyes.

Before we know it, it turns into a full blown brawl! The cake that Anna worked so hard making is all over the backyard, our faces, even in the pool! Talk about the best birthday ever!! I'm really glad I got to spend it with the best cast and the best girlfriend/ best friend in the world! I lean back on the dinosaur floatie I'm in and smile.

I look over to Ace who's wiping the cake off her beautiful self. How did I get so lucky? I swim out of the pool and go up to her. "Oh hey Ty! Wha-" I kiss her before she finishes her sentence. I slowly let go. She looks totally swooned. "What was that for?" She asks, dazed. "I love you Maisie." I say. She smiles sheepishly. "I love you, too Ty." I'm lost in her eyes. Those beautiful, big, blue-

I turn my attention towards the sound of crunching. Maisie looks too. The rest of them are eating popcorn while sitting in those beach chair things facing us. They're eyes are glued to us while still managing to stuff the popcorn in their mouths. They notice that we see them and they start whistling and staring off into space. Maisie and I start laughing hysterically at their failed attempt to act casual.

This was the best birthday ever.

(Oh, btw, Chris is Chris Pratt, Bryce is Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick is Nick Robinson, and Anna is Chris' real wife, Anna Faris if some of you didn't know!)
