Chapter 12.

|*Autumn's P.O.V.*|

I slowly opened my eyes. I looked around and saw that I was in the hospital.

"Autumn, your finally awake." I heard a familiar voice say. I turned my head and my eyes focused to see Gabe.

"Gabe...what happe-" I was stopped by the aching pain I felt while trying to sit up.

"No. Dont. The doctor will be here any second." He said while laying me back down.

"But what happened?" I asked.

"You fell down the stairs. Dont you remember?" He asked. I suddenly remembered. I felt like I was being followed. I was pushed. "Do you?" He asked again.

"Yeah. I remember. I tripped over my foot by accident." I answered. He looked a bit confused. He was about to answer when the doctor entered.

"Hello Autumn. How are you feeling?" He asked.

"A bit hurt. Did I break something?"

"Good thing is that you didnt break anything." I sighed in relief. "However, you did hurt your middle back. So, your going to wear this supporter strap.(I dont know what its called.)" He said as he handed a thick long strap. "You just have to rap it around in the middle of your torso very and really tightly. To the point where you can barely breath. You might need someones help." I nodded.

"How long do I have to wear it?"

"Just about two weeks. Also, just wear it when you sleep, excercise, or even dance. You can wear it more if you want. Oh, and take it easy on your dancing too. Just for two weeks."

"How do you know about my dancing?" I asked.

"Well I am your doctor." I nodded. "And also your everywhere!" He said. I looked at him confused. "Well, um, you can leave today. Just check out at the front desk." With that he left the room. I shook off what he said earlier and got ready.

LATER THAT DAY

Gabe brought me to my apartment. When we entered, Allie, Cole, and Dana were there. They lightly hugged me. We all sat down and talked.

TWO HOURS LATER

We just finished watching the movie, American Sniper. It was a very emotional movie.

"Well I gotta go. Ill see you tomorrow?" Dana said to me.

"Are you going to dance class?" I asked.

"Yep. Ill help you if you need anything."

"Thank you Dana." I gave a hug and we said our goodbyes.

"So who do you think should stay with you?" Allie asked.

"Nobody. Ill be fine."

"Yeah but someone needs to help you." She said. "Hey Gabe do you mind staying with Autumn tonight?" She asked Gabe who was talking to Cole.

"Not at all." He said smiling. Then he went back to talking to Cole.

"What was that!?" I whispered/yelled.

"Dont worry, this is a good way to see if he is just a crush or something more." Allie whispered.

"I hope your right."

"Honey, im always right! Get it girl hit me!" She said waiting for a high five. I high fived her and we started laughing.

A few minutes later, Allie and Cole left.

"We should go to sleep." I suggested. He nodded and followed me to my room. I handed him some clothes that he had left.

"You still have these?"

"Yeah. You never came to pick them up. Im gonna change in the bathroom." He nodded. I went into the bathroom. I changed into some black loose sweats with a short sleeve shirt. I put my hair in a messy bun. I came out of the bathroom to see Gabe sitting on my bed all changed. I grabbed the strap that the doctor gave me and I stood infront of my mirror.

"Can you help me?" I asked Gabe.

"Yeah. But are you sure?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well you have to lift up your shirt. Are you sure you want me to-"

"Gabe its not like im gonna be naked. Im fine with it."

"Well ok. Just making sure." He said. I chuckled and lifted my shirt up a little where it still covered my bra. I held it while he rapped it around me tightly. He connected the velcro to the strap. It was really tight. I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Thank you." I said to Gabe looking at him through the mirror. He looked back at the mirror and smiled.

"Your welcome." He said. He then rapped his hands lightly around my torso. I then saw his smile disappear.

"Whats wrong?" I asked. It looked like he was looking at something on me through the mirror.

"Whats that?" He asked touching my scar.

I put my shirt down.

"Its nothing." I said.

"No its something. Please tell me, how did you get it?" He asked. I turned to face him.

"Dont worry about it." I said to him.

"No Autumn. Please tell me."

"Why do you want to know so badly?" I asked him. He grabbed my hands.

"Because I care about you too much. I love you remember?" I nodded. "Now can you tell me?" I sighed.

"Fine. Remember when you found me at the park and it started raining? And then Julian beat me up?" He nodded. "Well, he stabbed me too."

"How come you didnt tell me?"

"Because, it wasnt important."

"Yes it is Autumn. You got freakin stabbed!"

"Okay. I guess I should of told you. Can we go to sleep now. And before we start debating on who sleeps where, we are both sleeping on the bed." He didnt say anything. We just laid down on the bed.

MIDNIGHT

I slowly got up and went to the kitchen to get some water. I washed the cup when I was done.

"AUTUMN!!!" I heard from my room. I ran to my room where I bumped into a worried Gabe. Once he saw me, he pulled me into a hug.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I woke up and you were gone. I was worried that my nightmare came true." He said. We made our way back to the bed.

"Im fine dont worry." I told him. He laid down and looked at me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down to lay with him. He rapped his arms around me. I turned around and snuggled into his chest. He kissed my forehead. He fell asleep while I stared into space thinking. Allie was right. This was a good way to see if he was more than a crush. Allie is also right about something else. I know now that it isnt.
