Amarah's POV/ thoughts

"Amarah, what happened?" Bailey asked.

I wiped another tear, grabbed Bailey's hand and took her to the bathroom. I checked the stalls to make sure no one was in the bathroom but us.

"Okay, so?" Bailey said.

"Omar's mad at me."

"How come?" She asked.

"I told him about Mr. Samuels. Then he got mad, and I said 'what's wrong?' and he apologized and said he had to leave, and I was like 'tell me what's wrong' and he said he liked me and--"

"Ooooh, I see you," Bailey interrupted, she was smiling too.

I playfully rolled my eyes. "Stop. Anyways, so after he said he liked me, out of nowhere I kissed him--"

"Ooooh!"

"I said stop!" I made Bailey jump. "Anywaaays." I continued. "So after I kissed him, we stared at each other and then we kissed again and then started making out and then that lead to us having sex."

"You had sex?!?!" Bailey asked.... and shouted.

"SSHHHH!!!"

I noticed the door opening. Thank God Bailey said that before the girl walked in.

"You have problems," I said.

"What do you mean?" Bailey asked.

"Interrupting people!"

"I'm sorry, go on."

"I can't." I tilted my head in the direction of the stall the girl went into. I walked up to Bailey and started whispering in her ear. "Then after we had sex, I told him that we couldn't do that again. And he got mad and he was like 'you're ending us like you did with Jayden'. Then my stomach started hurting when Omar mentioned his name. And I didn't say anything and he was like 'you're not gonna say anything?' And I didn't, and he was like F you and all that, then he left. Then this morning when I was talking to him, once he finally replied he said that I was his first too and he was mad that we had to pretend it never happened and stuff and all this crazy stuff happened and now I'm bout to cry."

"Awww," Bailey said and hugged me.

The girl came out the stall and washed her hands. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and the girl was holding a lollipop.

"You want it? I can tell you're upset, maybe this could cheer you up," the girl said.

I smiled and took the lollipop. "Thank you."

She smiled and left. These ninth graders are so sweet.

"Hey."

"What?" I asked

"Did he use a condom?"

"No."

"Do you think you could end up pregnant?"

I didn't even think about that, I was too busy being upset about Omar."

"Well.... now that I think about it, I do feel a little nauseous."

Bailey's jaw dropped.

"I'm kidding."

"Oh thank God," she said.

"Come on, let's go to homeroom."

We both walked to our lockers. Then we went to homeroom. When we walked in, I walked straight to my seat with my head down, I didn't feel like talking to anybody at the moment. Just Bailey.
