How I got to where I am (Selena Gomez Fan Fiction)

Chapter 1

"Selena" my mom called as she shook me to wake me up. 

"What?" I mumbled,refusing to get up.

"It's your audition today,you need to get ready" my mom reminded me. I instantly woke up and got out of bed. I looked at my alarm clock that was on my bedside table and saw how early it was.

"6am?" I stated in a question kind of way.

"Yes, you need to get prepared for the audition" my mom said. I groaned.

"Well,that attitude won't get you nowhere" my mom stated. I rolled my eyes and followed my mother down the stairs. 

I sat on the sofa while my mom went into the kitchen. Minutes later,she came in with a bowl of cheerio's and handed it to me. She then sat nextto me as I started eating.

"Are you sure you want to do this? You're only seven" she asked me. I finished eating what was in my mouth.

"I want to be an actress mom, I'm sure I want  to do this" I replied. She nodded understandingly before leaving to go back in the kitchen. I finished my cereal and took the empty bowl into the kitchen,where my mother was.

"Go and get ready and then we'll leave" my mom told me. I ran up the stairs,had a wash,brushed my teeth and hair and got dressed. By the time I was finished getting ready my mom was ready and waiting for me. 

She seemed more nervous about it all than I did.

 We both got in the car and headed to the destination of which the interview would be taking place. Once we got there,hundreds of other girls there too hoping to get a part. I started feeling nervous. How do I have a chance against all these girls? I looked at my mom who also looked worried. 

"I shouldn't worry, I've got to be positive" I thought to myself.

A little girl - about my age - was in the que, just in front of us. She turned around and smiled at me. I smiled back.

"Hi.. I'm Demi".
