**THREE WEEKS LATER**
A letter came in the post today. On the front it says 'Parent/Guardian of Selena Gomez'. Mum said that that means that its about me but for her to read. I wonder what it is. Mum said it might be a letter about my audition for Barney.
Mum sat on the sofa with the envelope and I sat on the arm of the sofa next to her.
She opened the envelope and she looked at the letter.
"You did it!" She shouted.
I jumped up, overjoyed. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited and so was my mum.
"Filming will start in one week and you'll be playing the part of Gianna. Oh, and here's your script" Mum said to me pulling out a booklet from the envelope. "Don't worry Sel, I'll help you learn your words".
I was so excited to actually be on Barney and I was excited about meeting all the other children that got their parts in Barney too. But, I was also nervous. What if I can't learn all my lines? What if I forget my lines during filming?
Mum reassurred me that none of that would happen and that if it did it wouldn't matter.
"Everyone makes mistakes" she reassurred. "And, even if you mess up your lines I'll be there to help you".
