A family with more than one monstrous secret lies at the heart of this week's Book to Die For: Priya Sharma's new novelette FABULOUS BEASTS.
The story, which can be read for free at (where it debuted on July 27th), spans several decades in the strange and troubled lives of Lola and Tallulah, cousins whose familiar connection goes far deeper than anyone might guess at first glance.
Don't let the story's compact and descriptive style fool you, however, slithery scenarios and disturbing familial relationships are the order of the day here. And monsters - of varying monstrosity.
