although lennon really wanted to ask harry last night what he meant but she didn't want to pry. it seemed as if he regretted saying even that, and she didn't want to upset him.
she pushed her questions to the back of her mind and helped harry all day replacing the rusted out water pipes with some extra ones that were in the garage. they then put the old ones behind the garage for the time being and went inside to see if it had worked.
lennon was sitting on the counter harry about to turn the faucet on. this is was it. this was the moment to see if all their hard work payed off. harry took a deep breath and turned the faucet, clean water came out making lennon and harry cheer.
"oh my god we did it!" lennon shouted happy that it worked. harry smiled and let out a relieved sigh raising his hand. lennon froze for a second only to realize that he just wanted a high five and shook it off high fiving him.
"i can take a shower now!" harry shouted happily.
"that's what smells!" lennon teased making harry stick out his tongue.
"but you should seriously go take a shower." lennon added seriously.
"you don't mind?" harry questioned arching a eyebrow.
lennon shook her head, "not at all! now go!" she yelled playfully.
"don't need to tell me twice!" lennon heard harry say before he disappeared upstairs.
lennon hopped down off the counter and decided to go back outside. she took a seat in the chair that she had claimed as hers and let out a sigh. she was tired from today. replacing pipes was a exhausting job.
lennon stared at the sky that were beautiful vibrant colors. pinks and oranges that took away lennons breath for the sky was truly a beautiful sight to her. the day was fading into night and lennon didn't want to go home. she didn't want to face her father and her mother and try to explain why her clothes were stained.
she just wanted to stay here. she liked hanging out with harry, and helping him work on his house. she knew that she would soon have to go home soon though. knowing that staying here wasn't an option and would cause a mess of trouble.
lennon watched the sky blend pink into orange into a yellow when harry took a seat beside her in his chair. lennon looked over at him who as she was a moment before looking at the sky. she smiled and noticed that his curly mop of hair was dripping wet and therefore making his tye dye shirt damp.
"it's so beautiful." he commented staring at the sky.
"breath taking." lennon added redirecting her eyes from him to the sky.
a couple minutes passed without a word being exchanged from the two of them before harry broke the silence.
"thanks for letting me take a shower." he said gratefully. lennon shook her head because it was really no big deal.
"it's fine really. did you like the watermelon body wash?" she asked with a smile. harry just rolled his eyes and shrugged making lennon laugh and lean over to get a whiff of the smell. sure enough she could faintly smell the watermelon body wash on his tattooed arms.
harry shook his head at the action and interlocked his fingers in his lap. lennon herself then looked at her watch to see it was five to seven and she was going to be late because it was a fifteen to a twenty minute bike ride.
she jumped up from her spot and cursed under her breath.
"sh.it sh.it sh.it." she muttered waving at a confused looking harry.
