She was so beautiful.
She was going to ask me something. I saw it on the tip of her tongue.
I saw it right there.....

After the bell rung, all these jocks flocked to me. I turned around to see where the pretty girl was so we could walk to her. But she's gone.
I feel my heart sink.
Where is she?
I look around frantically, missing her. Once I got her to talk to me for a bit, I was able to really study her. Her eyes. They twinkled when she got excited and she moved gracefully. Almost like she was a dancer.
And Jesus... Her voice. Her sweet voice, so melodious to me. I swear I don't think anyone's voice has ever impacted me so much... Her vocal cords made a sound unlike any I've ever heard, with a soft whisper that seems to tickle the air. She sounded like a full string section playing at their quietest yet still making it sound harmonious. I am not a religious man, but this woman will make me bend my knees and Pray.
I make it to my next class, but not before I've received 10 different party invites for the week, a place to sit at lunch, and a guide to my next class.
I don't care about any of it. I just want to see the pretty girl again. She was so beautiful and I know she and I could be great friends... Oh where did she go?!

When the bell rings, I keep my eyes peeled for her. She was so beautiful and she was so kind. I need to find that girl.
I scan the crowd around me, looking through the sea of people.
There's a tall girl hanging onto my arm. I look at her curiously, her big brown eyes looking up at me with a fake pouty look. Her pink lips are overly glossed and puffy; her bleached hair all over her face. Who is this girl?
"Who are you?" I ask politely. I retract my arm from her grasp and she really pouts this time. Her breath reeks of peppermint and fish. I feel disgusted by her touch. "Hey. I'm Mindy." Her voice is deep and I'm guessing to be seductive. But everything about this girl is gross.
"Umm.. Hi." I say awkwardly.
I feel so awkward. I don't know this girl.
"Come sit with me at lunch..." She purrs to me. I feel so uncomfortable. I sigh.
The pack of jocks are headed towards us. I have 20 seconds to figure out what I want.... Jocks or this "Mindy".
Think fast. Think fast.
"Sure, why not..." I say. And although I'm not sure I made the right decision, I follow mindy through the crowd and to the lunch room. This is going to be a long half hour.
