Hi guys, this is my new story. I love the idea of humans flying like bitches so here it is man. And then phan is my life so that helped as well. Alright, let's do this shit.
Light floods the room, making my body long for the dark once again. We don't always get what we want of course, so I just sit in the morning silence, waiting for Amelia to run in with mother. I hear the sounds of my family getting up, the flutter of wings. One day I'll get wings, huge and graceful. Perfect. "Daniel, it's time for your first day of school!" My mother's soft voice calls. I'm finally ten, old enough to learn our history and new inventions. I've been waiting for this for so long. Amelia, only eight, runs in and jumps on my bed."Come on Danny! You'll be late!" She practically screams.
"I'm up, I'm up!" I say back to her. Getting up from the soft cloud, I go into the main rooms. Yes you heard cloud. My mum's power is the manipulation of water particles. Common, but extremely useful.
My mum brushes my hair, and says "Ready?". I nod and take her hand. Then she leans over the edge of the door. And we fall. Her wings puff out, and I clench on her hands. Once we stabilize, all I see is blue.
*fast forward seven years*
The darkness swallows me whole. Not that I ever minded. This is the way it should be. So I can't see the absence of wings on my back. Everything is the same here. I've memorized this forest so I know it as if it's the back of my own hand. The silence is only broken by the occasional animal or leaves falling to the ground. I've learned to be invisible. No one can ever see or hear me in the dark. Everything is right again. I climb a tree around fifty so feet and reach the top. The five moons circle above me, each a different color. Raf, a golden yellow, Dolbe, navy blue, Chimera, green as the leaves, Heria, a fire hot red, Soulce, a color so dark black doesn't even work, and last but defiantly not least, Prism, living up to its name. They are so gorgeous, even the stars don't compare. Our people believe that the moons are where our powers come from. I'm not too sure about that, but for now I'll agree. Up here, I don't need to fly. In the dark of night, I'm who I truly have always been. Daniel Howell is nothing but a memory. The sun starts to shy over the horizon, so I climb until fifteen feet, then jump. I run as fast as I can back to the village. Well at least where you can get up to the village. It's sorta in the sky. I know, how will a wingless moron get all the way up there. I have my ways. Meaning my parents built me a rope ladder. Embarrassing, but I'd rather have it than not being able to go to the forest. Everyone else spends their time in the sky, so it's not like I'm ever confronted by anyone. The ladder takes me about fifteen minutes to climb. So I skip steps and try to breathe only when I need to. My parents have already caught me three times in the last month outside. I can't risk them locking the doors and windows. After a long climb, I'm resting in my bed, school in only four hours. Screw sleep anyways. I sink into the cloud and fall asleep.
* four hours later *
"DAN WAKE UP. MUM SAID I COULD DROP A BUCKET OF WATER ON YOU IF YOU DONT GET UP RIGHT NOW!" A familiar voice says."Amy shut up, I'm up okay!" I reply back, pissed. The light in the room is suffocating. Her wings are the problem. Light is just drawn to them.
"I have to get both of us to school, loser" she says turning her heel back into the main rooms. I roll out of bed, and fall on the real wood floors. We are privileged to have them. I groan and get dressed in some skinny jeans, it's practically impossible to have anything but slacks or skinny jeans. For men, it's the only two choices. Women have all of this crap to pick from. I wear basically all black because I love the reaction. No wings and attitude make up me. They remind me of the night.
"Loser I'm jumping in a minute!" Amy screams.
"I'm coming you brat." I say as I run to the doorway. I clasp her hand, almost reminding me of the first time I did this with mum. And she jumps. Terror jumps my system as her wings surround us, a brilliant gold. And we ascend into the light.
Hello again! This was all done in a car ride, so if it's crap blame my dad. Like and comment guys! Tell me what should happen next.
