Secrets Kept (Pearl x Peridot)

Fight at the Warp

As Peridot was trying to fix the destroyed warp pad, she heard something activate. A warp pad.

'Dammit, it's those crystal clods again.' she thought to herself.

But to her surprise, it was only Pearl. She immediately drew her spear, ready for fight. In defense, Peridot drew her laser gun with her fingers.

"Not you again!" Peridot cried, aiming her gun.

Pearl gave a small laugh.

"Oh please, your modern gem tech is no use against my skills." Pearl bragged.

"Well, this time, Steven won't be here to protect you." Peridot said evilly.

"Leave Steven out of this!" Pearl yelled defensively. "This is an overdue fight just between me and you!" she threw her spear, stabbing...a hologram.

Peridot stepped out from behind it when it faded away.

"Haha, you really are as dull as dirt." Peridot's hologram chuckled evilly.

Pearl summons 2 hologram-pearls. "You wanna play this game? Let's play!"

"Your move, you clod!" Peridot exclaims.

All the Pearls drew their spears. "Try to dodge this!"

Peridot gasped and quickly went to her spider leg fingers and crawled quickly to the nearest warp pad.

"Leaving so soon?" Pearl exclaimed, menacingly.

Peridot just gave an evil snicker in response. She summoned two laser guns with her hands and put them above her head. Both of them combined into a huge laser gun.

Pearl summoned a second spear and twirled them in her hands.

Peridot fired the giant laser ball at Pearl. She couldn't dodge it. It hit Pearl. She yelled and fell from the shot onto the crystal floor. Peridot laughed evilly and went to the nearest warp pad, ready to warp. But she stopped when she saw Pearl wasn't moving.

Tear were in Pearl's eyes.

"I can't even defend myself...how will I be able to protect Steven? He's the only trace of Rose I have left." she cried, her voice choking.

Peridot gasped. "Rose...you were with Rose during the war?"

Pearl weakly got up.

"Y-yes."

Peridot stared at her for a moment. 

"What?" Pearl asked, weirded out.

"I just realized a secret kept from me for hundreds of years. By Homeworld."

"And what would that be?" Pearl finally got to her feet.
