Meeting the parents pt. 2

I opened the door to Kris's office. I went in closing the door behind me and sat down at the chairs that were across from her office desk.

"Yes Free? Do you need something?" She asked giving me her attention.

"... Silas wants me to meet his parents in New York and we leave tomorrow" I said a little worried.

"Yes I know, Silas already asked to take the week off... Are you ok with it? Why do you seem worried?"

"I... I'm a bit scared? Yeah... All of this is so new to me, I don't know what to do or how to act" I said defeated.

"Oh... right you've never been a lover to someone and you've never met their parents before, huh?"

"Not only that we both want to marry and this is the first big step to that and it just feels..."

"Real?"

"Yeah..."

"Free your overthinking it, all you have to do is be yourself, show them the you that made Silas fall in love with you and their going to love you too plus you'll be there for a whole week they'll get to know you and you'll get to know them" she explains.

"But what... what if they don't like me? What if they're not like Silas at all and they don't see what he sees in me?"

"Impossible, there's over thousands and thousands and millions of people who love you and his parents will love you and see what Silas sees" Kris says.

"... Thank you Kris" I said.
