Eliza;//-P.O.V-
"I don't think i'll ever get enough of her. We have been texting for 3 days straight now and her messages never fail to make me smile even when I'm having a bad day!" Lucas sigh dreamily as i rolled my eyes and took another sip of my matcha tea.
"I'm very sure she's the one, Eliza! I'm so deeply in love with her, her breath taking smile, her bright doe eyes, her-" He gave a dramatic pause before continuing. "Everything."
"You've only known her for a few days and you're madly in love with her?" I scoffed as he just gave me the stink eye.
"You'll never understand how i feel!" Lucas cries out dramatically and swirls around to the mini sink we have behind the counter and starts to wash up the glass cups.
"Sure, i never will." I mumbled under my breath and dumped the remaining tea leaves into the bin.
Since Blaze and Octavia rushed out of the shop in such a hurry, that just left the both of us alone in the shop to manage it. Thankfully there were not many customers right now, just a loving old couple sitting at the end of the shop and a mother with her child. I would have killed Blaze for kidnapping Octavia on such a short notice if it was a busy evening.
I was more thankful for the fact that Angie had left several minutes after Blaze left the cafe, telling her that he probably would not be back until tomorrow when the shop re opens. As Blaze tugged Octavia away with him, i swore Angie gave her the fiercest glare she could muster.
Lucas picked up the glass cup and started polishing it and placing it on the highest shelf. His phone buzzed and he got so startled that he dropped the glass onto the ground, landing near my feet.
"Lucas!" I hissed at him as he scrambles to his feet while apologising profusely to me. I glared at him as he scampered around looking for the broom while i tried to step around the broken glass. He returns hurriedly and then stops dead in his tracks.
"What?"
"You're bleeding."
I looked at him questioningly before looking down at my arm where there was a slight stinging sensation. Blood was trickling down to my fingers and i just stared at it.
"Oh."
Lucas dropped the broom carelessly onto the ground and rushed to my side, lifting my arm up gently. He grabbed a bunch of paper towels and soaked them in water before dabbing it across the broken part of my skin. I hissed in pain and clenched my fist as the cool paper towel brushed across the wound.
"I'm so sorry Liz, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to, oh my god because of my foolishness I hurt you, I'm really sorry." He stumbled over his apology over and over again while trying to clean my wound.
I ruffled his hair. "It's cool." He just looks at me worriedly before rushing off to get the first aid kid. He wraps a bandage around my arm and ties it firmly in place to stop the blood from flowing out.
"There. You're wrapped up." Lucas mumbles before giving me another apologetic look. I waved it off before examining the bandage.
I shrugged. "Dude, Isn't cadence coming in?"
"Nah," Lucas finishes polishing the glass. "She told me she was busy today and couldn't come in to see me." Lucas frowns slightly then looks up. "Speaking of which.." He then placed the glass on the shelf and then pulling out his phone to return a text from Cadence.
I wiped my hands on the washcloth that hung next to the sink and sighed in boredom as there was nothing else to do other than to wait for new customers to arrive.
