Chapter 4

Hermione's POV

And now that's two balls Ron has ruined. What was up with him? As I walked into the great hall everyone stared and I mean everyone. "Awe poor mudblood couldn't even get a date" one of the Syltherins called. That was it I had to get out of here. Abandoning all courage I ran out tears spilling down my face.

I didn't even need to say the password Snape opened the portrait immediately. I ran in and threw myself on the couch. I heard the portrait door open, of course now he shows up. "Hermione" but it wasn't him it was Draco. "Come here" he said and I fell into his arms crying into his chest. And not once did he tell me not to cry.

Draco's POV

I wanted to kill that Syltherin and that git weasel. How dare they make her cry. "It's ok Mione, just a stupid prejudice pure blood. I want to punch the sorry bastard but you're more important baby." I cooed.

By the time her sobs subsided she had fallen asleep. Carefully cradling her I walked into her room. Carefully laying her in bed and magic-ing her some pyjamas, I had seen her change before, but I'm a gentleman! I put her dress in the back of her wardrobe, she probably didn't want to see it in the morning. "I love you Mione'' I said kissing her on her forehead.

I awoke to screaming. Not good. Shit. Hermione. I ran through the bathroom bursting into her room to see her tossing violently. Nightmares, I would know, tonight is one of my rare nights when I don't have one.

''NO! DON'T HURT HIM. TAKE ME INSTEAD JUST DON'T HURT HIM! I LOVE HIM. NOOO NOOOOOO! DRACO." She screamed. Wait, what Draco, she still loved me. My heart skipped a beat until I realised she was still having a nightmare.

"Mione, Mione. It's ok I'm here I'm here wake up." She woke up with a start beads of sweat on her forehead. "It's ok baby it was just a dream. It was just a dream. You're fine, I'm here you're ok." I said cradling her gently in my arms as she sobbed her heart out for the second time tonight.

"I-I-it was soooo real." She said as sobs racked through her body "I thought you were gone. He killed you and u couldn't stop him." I knew who "he" was. She'd had this nightmare before. "He's dead baby and no ones ever going to hurt you again, not while I'm here. I love you Hermione."

Hermione's POV

In his arms I felt safe. It wasn't Ron I wanted, it was Draco it always had been. "Oh Draco, I'm so sorry. I thought you had left me, I thought you were gone. I don't like Ron, I love you. I always have. I'm so sorry Draco I'm so sorry."

"Hermione don't apologise this is all my fault. And I didn't kiss pansy well I did but that's only because I was jealous, she means nothing. It's you I want Hermione. You and only you." He said hugging me tighter stroking my hair.

"I need to end it with Ron. Now" I said "I'll be back in a bit, love you" with a peck on his cheek. "Do you want me to come with you it's pretty late?" He asked with concern in his voice. How could I ever deny my feelings for him. "I'll be fine ill just be a minute."

Being head girl had its perks I got up to Ron and Harry's dorm. Harry wasn't there. Ginny. Of course. Note to self avoid all broom closets on the way back.

"Ron, Ron.'' I said gently shaking him awake. "Hermione" he said suddenly full of life. I opened my mouth to speak when he forced his tongue in my mouth. I stared to struggle this is when he flipped me and layed me on his bed.

Merlin no. His hands stared to wander. The more I struggled the more weight he put on me. "Ron no, I need to talk to you I can't do this." I yelled. But that didn't deter him as his cold hands peeled off my shirt and my singlet, leaving me there half naked.

"Beautiful" he said as he fondeled my chest. "No Ron this isn't what I want please don't do this." I sobbed.

"No it's ok Hermione this is good. I love you and know I will have you" he said calmly.

"Come on Hermione, you know you want this. Just embrace it." His slippery voice perturbed as he pulled down my pyjama bottoms. I fought and I fought I screamed but he wouldn't give in.

My worst nightmare about to come true.

"Hermione!?"
