Chapter 9- Where’s my parents?
Davis was the first to wake up. He looked over to his left to see Belinda’s sleeping on his shoulder. Davis raised his arm to see the time. His watch was a Monarchy black leather band that wrapped all around his wrist. The red analogue face showed the time: 10:22.
Davis slowly lifted Belinda’s arm and made his way out the bed covers and dressed himself. He went through his pockets and lit a cigarette. Davis tried to look for a shirt without waking her up but unfortunately Belinda’s soft voice was heard.
‘I can smell it’ She was referring to the smoke.
‘Ah, fuck.’ Davis acted all innocent. ‘Want a drag?’
Belinda smiled and took the cigarette. ‘Thanks.’
Davis continued to dress, looking for a spare shirt.
Belinda suddenly widened her eyes.
‘Oh my god! Are my parent’s home?’
Davis thought for a second.
‘If they where, I would of been fucked, so I guess not.’
Belinda relaxed herself and continued smoking the cigarette.
‘Do you have any shirts, maybe any of James’s shirts, he owes me one anyway.’
Belinda frowns with disappointment.
‘James hasn’t even stepped on my lawn.’
Davis was happy with the reply.
‘I got it in before you James, take that fuckwit’ Davis thought to himself.
Belinda got out bed and wrapped herself with the quilt while looking for a shirt. She threw out a black L’Oreal shirt.
Davis picked it up and stared at it.
‘What the fuck? This is a girl’s shirt.’
Belinda laughed.
‘It’s all I got. It’s also my biggest size.’
Davis threw it on. It was way too small. It couldn’t even cover his belly button. Belinda laughed hysterically.
‘Oh please, let me take a picture.’ Belinda was waving her camera phone around.
Davis was running. ‘No, fucking way in hell!.’
Belinda eventually put down her phone and dressed herself. Davis walked out of the room and made his way to the back yard.
‘Where are you going?’ Belinda watched Davis’s perplexed confusion.
‘Um, where’s the front door?’
Belinda pointed to the complete opposite direction.
Davis slapped his forehead and walked towards the front door.
He opened the door but a light tug on the back of his shirt made him turn around.
‘I’ll call you later tonight.’ Belinda pulled Davis in for a light kiss.
‘Yeah, no worries.’ Davis walked down and got a fright from the motion sensor lights.
Belinda walked back upstairs and watched Davis walk away from the house. She was missing him already and he hasn’t even left from her sights.
To her surprise, Davis leaped into the air and screamed out ‘YES!’ He punched the air a few more times then walked off.
Belinda giggled and closed her blinds and ran into her room and snuggled under the quilt cover.
She had never been any happier in her life.
