Chapter 15- Final Destination
The Make-up drawer and mirror held up pretty long as it was then ripped apart by the bare hands of the skinheads, so determined to bite into Belinda’s body and taste her very flesh and blood. The skinheads could smell it, that just less than a couple meters stood fresh food and blood. Belinda leaned against the back of her wardrobe that held up what remained of the broken and destroyed make-up drawer, the mirror was in pieces on the floor only the frame held up, but it was no use. Belinda was exhausted as she had been holding on and pushing the wardrobe against the door for almost all of noon. The thought of being eaten alive is what motivated her to keep her strength up.
Suddenly a jolt ran up and she was shoved backwards, Belinda continued to push back and hold the door closed but the power of five hungry, blood thirsty, infected skinheads against a small college girl already decided the winner itself. Thumping noises arrived, it was a bigger skinhead for sure, it arrived up the stairs. Belinda couldn’t hold the door and it broke open and made the wardrobe collapse. Belinda screamed as she picked up her golf club and swung it into the skinhead. The figure yelped in pain as the club was swung straight into its face and he flipped onto the floor. The skinhead grunted as it clutched it's face. Another skinhead approached as Belinda squealed and swung her club once again. This time the skinhead caught the club with his bare hands and pulled Belinda in for a hug.
Belinda spotted and instantly recognised the bandage wrapped around the hand. It was Davis.
Belinda burst into tears and began to sob and punch Davis’s stomach.
‘What took you so long, why couldn’t you come earlier.’ Belinda cried.
Davis wrapped her in his arms and kissed her head.
‘I’m sorry, we both ran into a little bit of trouble.’
Belinda was a little confused. ‘We?’
Khan stood up with a swelling lump on his head.
‘We as in, me’ Khan spat. ‘That fucking hurt.’
Belinda ran over to Khan and gave him a hug.
‘Sorry about that, I thought you were one of those zombies.’
Khan smiled a little. ‘Thought you would have might.’
The Three went downstairs and left the house onto the driveway.
Belinda was the last to leave as she was surprised by the dead infected that laid in her house as she walked down.
Khan had taken a bag of frozen pea’s as he left the house and clutched it over his swollen head.
Davis stared at the Land Rover. ‘Do you have the keys to the Evouqe?’
Belinda shook her head. ‘My dad has them.’
Khan thought for a second. ‘Do you have the immobiliser at least?’
Belinda didn’t understand. ‘Immobiliser?’
‘It’s a little button thing near your key that locks and unlocks the door.’
Belinda switched on. ‘Ah yeah my dad has a spear one, I’ll go get it.’ Belinda ran upstairs to collect what was needed, Khan inspected his single pistol left and Davis examined the car.
‘You have one fine bird.’ Khan giggled out.
Davis smiled at him. ‘Jealous? Motherfucker?’
Khan laughed. ‘Not really, if she didn’t wack my head then probably, yeah.’
They both chuckled and kept quiet as soon as Belinda came out of the house.
