Chapter 17- College Reunion
Khan raised his arms, realising he wasn’t holding any weapons at all. Immediately he ran upstairs and retrieved his M4 and his Glock. Counting his prepared ammunition, two magazines of 5.56, and three clips of 9mm for his Glock.
Gun fire broke out and the sound of scattering glass sounded. It was a huge boom then small crackling shots burst out.
Khan retrieved the mags, and the clips off the floor and picked up his rifle. Khan walked out of the bedroom and onto the corridor. He inspected the ceiling to find a small hatch door. He opened it and a staircase folded down. This was to the attic. Gun fire continued downstairs, the sound of smashing glass made Belinda squeal. Davis was shouting orders. It was getting tense and two downstairs need Khan’s assistance.
‘KHAN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?’ Davis shouted. The situation was getting worse. He reloaded his shotgun with the bandolier belt. Belinda sprayed her UMP into the windows messing up the skinheads faces as they were determined to enter the interior of the house. All of the wooden planks where torn apart, and Davis was running out of ammo. The window from the kitchen smashed open, which is right behind Belinda. She twisted around and pulled the trigger only to hear the sound of the click, click. Belinda pulled out her mag to find it empty. She threw it on the floor and pulled out her two SIG Sauer’s. She raised her arms and fired one after the other.
Khan on the other hand made it to the roof; he then climbed down from the roof and carefully jumped from the awning down onto the back yard. He switched the M4 into semi auto. Raising the rifle, Khan balanced he crosshairs of his ACOG sight and fired.
The Recoil of the M4 was surprisingly low, nothing but a mare jolt into his shoulder and his cheek resting on the stock. The skinheads fell one by one, with a blast in their skulls.
Khan was an experienced hunter and marksman when he was living in the country side with his father, usually firing upon agile animals at a range of 400 meters. At twenty meters with motionless skinhead infected as targets wasn’t a problem for Khan.
The problem now was that the infected have turned their attention away from the front porch, and was approaching Khan into the back yard. Khan was now facing almost a horde of zombies alone and he was running out of ammunition fast.
One by one the skinheads fell; Khan heard the click of his rifle indicating an empty magazine. He flicked the mag out and replaced it in seconds. Continuing his concentrated fire, Khan was untouchable.
BRAKKA! BRAKKA! BRAKKA! The rifle would sound, repeatedly as his careful and semi auto fire would only let him take careful shots. Khan counted in his head, only six rounds remained in the M4.
BRAKKA! BRAKKA! BRAKKA! Three rounds left, three bodies fell before him.
BRAKKA! BRAKKA! BRAKKA! The rifle then clicked empty. Khan dropped the rifle and unsheathed the Glock.
The sound from the pistol was much less powerful, but it still did the job, only a single bullet is needed to fall a skinhead. A large BOOM sound came from the distance, earth was thrown into the air and the zombies were chucked sideways as if a giant arm had flicked them out of the way. In the distance Khan could spot a grey car drive past. It was then followed by a spray of gunfire.
The infected left Khan alone and ran to the car. Khan followed the infected, shooting them off at the same time witnessing the commotion in front of the house.
There were two cars. A grey Mazda Six with a masked gun man holding a BAR Light machinegun through the sunroof. The second is a Toyota Camry, two people left the car and were armed with Scorpion sub machineguns.
