When morning breaks again, I'm up like a shot. Fillin is back and worn out by the looks of things. So I hand Fillin to Kazi and I shadow travel beside them, travelling by shadow is quicker than riding Agripin but it's so tiring. Once Fillin has his strength back he'll be able to fly with one of us on his back. From what Fillin has managed to get across (he can't speak properly yet) he had a bit of a difficult time trying to get in and out of the castle and Keoki told him off rather badly.
Right now I'm really beginning to wonder whose side Keoki is really on, because he certainly doesn't seem to be on my side right now. I'm left to ponder where Agripin and Fillin are leading us, and what steed Kazi has. I can't go back right now to the Dark realm, but I'm not really sure I want to.
We eventually ride out of the woods but I decide that we'll set up camp at the edge of the woods. We have a frugal meal and sit in silence for a while. Agripin goes off in search of some 'decent' food and Fillin falls fast asleep on my lap. I turn to Kazi:
'Why did you come with me? You could have just set me free and be done with it.'
'I know, but I couldn't leave you to travel on your own and get caught again could I?'
'Oh come on, you know I'm more than capable.'
'Clearly, else my sister and I wouldn't have got you.'
'You know what I mean...'
'Well, it's not much fun at home for starters - I fancied an adventure. If I'd just stayed then I'd have got it in the neck from my sister. I probably fear her more than anything.'
'Coward.'
'Am not!'
'Prove it.'
'I beat you once I can beat you again.'
'Not quite, I could say I beat you - I mean I managed to persuade you to free me.'
'Fine you win, until next time.'
It was then that Kazi called his steed. Kazi just whistled really high and for about three seconds before I saw a wisp of movement in the distance. A few moments later I'm standing next to the most gorgeous white lion I have ever seen, he also has the most gorgeous white wings.
