After 7 years.

“Zylie, I said wag kayong maingay. Wag kayong pumunta malapit sa pool ni Ace.”

“Okay Mommy.”

Binabasa ko yung article tungkol kay Nathan. He founded a love of his life and he has a 2 year old baby. I’m glad that he can be happy now.

Q. Are you happy now?

A. “Yes. But I still miss my bestfriend.”

Q. “Best friend.”

A. “A very special someone, tinuruan niya ko sa maraming bagay, and kung nasaan man siya, I want to say na pinapatawad na kita my Angel.”

“Zylie, Ace. Let’s go.”

“Are we leaving this resort?” Ask ni Ace

“ Yes baby.”

“Can we stop here in this place Mommy.”

“No Zylie. Maybe sometimes. I want to tour you around. And you know someone’s following us. A monster.” I laugh.

“I know Mommy.” Sabi ni Ace. “Don’t trust any strangers.”

“Pero Mommy sawa na kami ni Ace sa online study.”

“Someday, mga baby ko.”

“Now, maligo na kayo para makaalis na tayo.”

“No, mommy.” Sabay nilang sabi.

“It’s a yes.” Then nagpahabol na naman sila. We never spent 2 days in a place. I can’t afford to fight with my daughter and son looking. And I don’t want to hurt them. I’m lucky to have them, for almost 7 years by myself.

“Sumakay na kayo.” Sinuot ko na sa kanila yung seatbelt nila. Habang nagdadrive ako, nakita ko sa rear mirror na natutulog na sila. They are very close to each other, and I’m glad that they are. I want them to live like a normal child, without knowing about our secrets. Then, huminto ako sandali para lagyan sila ng kumot.

“Daddy!” Nabigla ako sa sinabi ni Ace.

“Nagsasalita ka na naman ha. And yes I miss your Dad too.” Pagsara ko ng pinto ng kotse. I just stay sa labas to see the view, “Kyle…” Then I cry again. At that night, it’s the last time that I saw him.

“Wow, Mommy ang ganda dito.”

“I want here.”

“We’re going to do some business here.” This is a villa. I have a client that want’s to buy a jewelry. It’s one of source of my income, I do also some business but they are all legal. But of course I kept my name a secret.

“Don’t go too far.” Dito lang ako, then diyan kayo. Sandali lang si Mommy.”

Then sandali lang akong nalingat nawala na si Ace.

“Where’s you’re brother Zylie?”

“He’s out to get his toy.”

“What?” Hinawakan ko yung kamay ni Zylie. Nakita kong umiiyak si Ace.

“Why?”

“I can’t see my ball.”

“That’s alright. Honey. I will buy you a new one.”

“Really Mommy?”

“Yes.”

“I want to buy there,” Tinuro niya yung isang hill na amraming laruan and it was beautiful there.

“Ok. But don’t ever do that Ace. Wag kang lalayo kay Mommy.

“Okay po Mommy,”

Then pagkaakyat namin, I saw a man na nakatalikod sa amin, and when he turned around, my tears fell automatically.

“Ace..” Tumakbo sa kanya si Ace, at kinarga to.

“Good job son.”

“What’s happening?”

“Kinontrata ko yung anak ko.”

“No, you’re alive pero ngaun ka lang nagpakita,”

“I found you. I’ve been searching for 7 years, but I didn’t see you and our kids. You’re good at playing hide and seek.”

“I smile. Unti unti siyang lumapit sa akin, binaba na din niya si Ace. He hugged me tight and whispered. “I miss you so much. And I love you.” Then he kissed me.

“He set us free.” Then smiled. “It’s over now. We can live our own lives.”

“I think we have our happy endings after all.”

Then we kissed again.
