how fucking selfish would he be? harry had just fucking sliced his own goddamn wrist open! he would be so selfish to think about harry helping him study for his finals. when was he not selfish though? he always thought about himself being alone. he always depicted his family as the bad people. what if they were good? they were the good ones. they were always telling him rules he had to follow. but he always ignored them-thought they were selfish. although he hadn't discussed his sexuality with his parents, he knew that if he told them about him being gay, they would disapprove. not just disapprove, they would disown him and kick him out of the house. maybe being gay was so wrong.

louis shifted towards harry only to realize that the young lad was gone.
he stared back at his desk, mind overflowing with all the things he had to do by the end of today.

louis opened his textbook to the review pages in the back, settling down to try and do some last minute work to prepare for his finals tomorrow. he read the problem, which was very easy, yet he couldn't bring his fingers to scribble down the answer. he stared at the problem, studying its bold font and the curves of the numbers.
3x+12=4x+0
he knew that the answer was 12, but it was like his brain couldn't signal his hand to write down the answer.

his hands felt tingly and his fingers let go of the pencil, rolling off the desk and falling to the floor with a slight clunk.

his eyes were droopy and despite trying his hardest, they closed and he started to fall asleep.

harry was sprawled on to the mattress on the floor, flipping the pages of a book, Every Last Word, that had recently become one of his favorites.

he shifted as he felt his phone in his front pocket vibrate. harry fished it out-freezing once he saw the caller id, and placed it against his ear.

"hello?" he spoke into the phone.

the voice on the other line was a man, who cleared his voice before talking, "yes, is this mr. harry styles?" his voice was scratchy, like he smoked a lot when he was younger.
"y-yes. can i help you?" harry stammered.
"were you an aquaintance of a mr. jared lanson?" harry fought hard to keep those memories locked tight, to not let them flood his brain.
"um, more than aquaintances, i'd like to believe.." harry trailed off, giving a sad laugh.
the man on the other line cleared his throat once more.
"earlier this morning, mr. lanson was found dead in his room," he could hear the man's voice getting softer.

harry whimpered.

"d-dead? h-h-how?" he timidly spoke, unable to speak clearly.
