Karishma was in her balcony staring at the sky deeply lost in thoughts, this was something that gave her peace- stargazing. she loved to look at the stars in the night. But tonight even the sky full of twinkling stars couldn't ease the sting she was feeling in her heart. It was the sting of longing. The overwhelming feeling that creates a void in your heart you don't know how to fill.
The soft breeze felt cool against her skin, it reminded her of haseena, Her thought alone was enough to make her smile. She still couln't believe how it happened or when it happened but the moment she saw her , her heart did that thing! Her heart recognised her before she could. She didn't understand why it was like this but the one thing she was sure about she wanted haseena in her life'. At this moment she didn't know how will it be possible or how will she do it or one thing was clear she wanted haseena and she was determined to make it possible no matter what it takes. If she has to come out of her comfort zone she will do it for haseena!
As karishma prepared to sleep her phone buzzed with a msg from mishri '' so ja topper i know you are probably freaking out about tomorrow's test, check whatsapp its cancelled! ''
Karishma chuckeld - me freaking out over a test? this dumbo still doesn't know me! She thinks I study because I like to, who's gonna tell her that I study because there's nothing to do after spending time with them. What do i do after getting home? Dad's rarely home, what am i gonna do alone here with malaika didi? I am simply bored that's why I just read my books.
it's good there's no test tomorrow nahi toh kitna bad impression jata professor haseena par!
Now I have to do something before someone else come and take her away!
New day, New surprises.
Karishma always believed college life was meant to be a messy, chaotic, sparkling sort of beautiful—and today was no exception.
"Karish, move!" squealed Mishri, dodging as Karishma nearly barreled into her, coffee cup in one hand, tote bag slipping off her shoulder.
"I'm late!" Karishma gasped dramatically, brushing past the campus fountain. "She's going to murder me."
Behind her, Santu strolled leisurely, texting and sipping a bubble tea. "Pretty sure Professor Haseena doesn't even know how to yell," he said without looking up.
Mishri laughed. "She doesn't yell. She just looks disappointed. Which is worse."
Karishma groaned, heart pounding for reasons that had very little to do with fear of reprimand and everything to do with the woman waiting at the end of the hallway: Professor Haseena , thirty seconds away from starting her lecture on Post-Colonial Literature.
Professor Haseena.
The name alone made Karishma's stomach flutter like an overstuffed balloon. Twenty-seven years old, five-foot-seven, hergaze sharp that could cut glass, and a smile rare enough to make you feel like you'd witnessed a solar eclipse.
And Karishma was hopelessly in love with her.
The moment Karishma stumbled into class, barely breathing, she caught a glimpse of Haseena arranging her laptop at the podium. Her dark hair was in a loose braid today, a few strands escaping to frame her face. She wore simple black trousers and a soft lavender blouse, a soft smile tugging at her lips,a rare sight.
