I was standing to the side of Roxas' front door in a red t-shirt, black shorts yellow socks, black high-tops, and a multitude of black and yellow belts. He came out and we went to the usual place. I pulled Roxas to the side and said "Roxas, we need to break up. My aunt said I'm not coming back." Roxas said "What? B-but aren't you only going to visit?" I shook my head. "I'm being sent to boarding school back home." Roxas sighed and said "Oh. I'll see you after we get out of school right?" I shook my head. He said "Never?" I said "I'm so sorry Rox." He looked hurt. I resisted the urge to hug him and went into the usual place. We sat on opposite sides of the little area. "Only three days left of summer vacation, so don't even mention that assignment!" Olette said "But we agreed we'd get it finished today." I said "Turns out, I don't need to. I'm leaving tomorrow. My aunt decided I'm going to boarding school back home." Roxas said "I fell off the station tower, didn't I?" I said "Almost. I caught you before you did because someone scared the bejesus out of you." Pence said "Sorry." Odette said "Stop changing the subject!" They started talking about the assignment as I thought about how much I lied to everyone. "River, your with Roxas and Pence." I nodded and Roxas gave me a hurt look. I acted coolly and stuck to Pence's side. We went around asking about rumors. We found one about the stone steps, the water fall, the old subway tunnels, shady back alleys, and the hill. All turned out to be mundane things. Roxas said "River, let's go check out the ghost mansion. One last adventure, just the two of us before you leave." My eyes watered and I said "Yeah. Let's go." We went to the old mansion. The moment we stopped, I saw a blonde girl in the window. I sighed and Roxas went rigid. I caught him and waited for him to wake up. Pence showed up and said "What happened to Roxas?" I said "He's fine." As if on cue, Roxas opened his eyes and he and pence spoke before turning to me and saying "Did you see a girl in the window?" I said "Thought I did. Just a curtain though."
