A half year later, Roxas, Hayner, Pence, Olette, and I were the best of friends. Well, Roxas and I were more than friends. The day prior, Riku and DiZ told me that Roxas was Sora's nobody and not to fall for him because he would eventually go back to Sora. "He is awakening River. You mustn't fall for the boy's charm. He has no right to exist." DiZ had told me. I responded with "I would trade my heart for Sora and Roxas. You know that. I'll so what I must to make sure they both make it. Don't put him down for what he is. I know what it's like to be looked down upon. Remember, I am a Jinchūriki. We are feared and treated like we're trash.. And I also know you think I have no right to exist either. I'll give them both hearts. Just watch me." I stepped onto the platform and went back to twilight town.
I sat on Roxas' lap while we all discussed the horrible treatment we'd been getting all week. I was wearing a grey dress with a black cinch belt, a pair of black tights, and black and orange platform converse. Hayner suddenly yelled "Doesn't it tick you off?" I jumped and tumbled off of Roxas. He ignored that I was on the floor, both of them did. "Oi! Roxy! Girlfriend Down!" I snapped. He snapped out of his funk and said "Don't call me that." I twisted around til I was standingup right instead of tangled on the floor. "Hayner, you are so getting it later." Hayner glared at me and said "River, I would want to clear Roxas' name if I were you." I said "I've tried. I'm an outsider, they believe Seifer over me." Roxas finally tuned into the arguement and said "Then why don't we clear our name? Find the thief." I grinned and said "Now your talking dear." The other three looked at Roxas and I confused. I winked at them and, putting my finger to my lips, said "Spoilers." Olette started giggling, finally getting it. "Cool it River." Roxas mumbled as he got up to walk with us. I smiled at him and said "Sorry sweetie." Hayner said "Ugh, your being lovey-dovey again!" I absently said "Watch it Hayner. I will smack you." Pence ran for his camera and suddenly said "Oh no! They're gone! Our _____ are gone!" He put a hand on his throat. Hayner said "All our _____, gone?" Hayner grabbed his throat too. Olette said "You can't say _____, why not?" Pence said "But you do understand what I'm saying right? Our _____ are gone." Roxas said "Stolen. And not just the _____, the word _____, they stole it too." I said "What sort lf thief takes a word?" Hayner said "Seifer could never pull that off." Roxas nodded and said "Yeah." Hayner said "Alright. Time for some recon." We all left. I stopped when I noticed Roxas wasn't with us. I turned and headed back to the usual place. I saw Roxas on the floor and silently cursed DiZ and Riku out. I stood watch over him until he woke up again and we set off to the tram common. When we got there, Hayner yelled "Over here!" We walked over to the armor shop and as soon as we got there, Pence said "Let's get this investigation under way." The guy at the armor shop said "Yo Roxas! River! Never thought you two would do such a rotten thing." I growled under my breath and Roxas tightened his grip on my hand as he said "We didn't steal anything!" He said "I'd like to believe you but who else would steal that stuff." I gasped as I realized what had been stolen and Roxas said "What stuff?" The armor accessory guy said "Like I'd tell you." The other four turned to me and said "D'you know what was stolen?" Remembering the warning I'd gotten from DiZ, I simply said "Spoilers." Everyone glared at me. I shrugged and said "I can't tell you." I pointed at the accessory girl and said "She might be able to though." We walked over and Hayner said "Go on Roxas, Talk to her." Roxas walked up to her. We walked up behind him as she said "Please don't let me down, you used to be one of my favorite customers." Roxas indignantly said "I'm not a thief!" She said "Okay." Roxas continued with "It's not fun having everyone suspecting me, ya know?" Th accessory girl said "Oh, before I forget. Your order came in." She handed a wrapped parcel to Roxas. "You've gotta find a way to clear your name. The woman at the candy shop is pretty disappointed, too." We went to the Candy Shop and The old woman said "Roxas? Have you seen my cat around?" Roxas backed up and pointed it out to me. I nodded and climbed up onto the awning to get the cat. I picked up the cat and flipped off the awning. "Thank you Roxas. River." I kindly asked "Did they steal something from you too?" She said "Oh my, yes. Something important." I said "Just so you know, ma'am, we didn't do it." She said "I believe you." Roxas said "Thank you ma'am. So what did they take from you?" She said "My _____, my precious _____." Hayner said "Looks like the culprit is going around stealing _____. And not just _____, but the word _____, too." Pence chimed in with "This isn't your average thief..." Olette said "I wonder if Seifer would know anything about this." I smirked and said "What are we standing around for then? Let's go!" We ran to the sandlot and saw Rai,Fuu, and Vivi. Fuu turned around and said "Thieves." Rai shook his fist and said "That was low, y'know." Hayner got all defensive and said "Oh yeah?" I saw Seifer walk into the sandlot and heard him say "Nice comeback there blondie." I snickered and said "Seifer dear, you're blonde too." I had gotten over my fear of him and gained enough confidence to constantly point out the flaws in his logic. Hayner got even angrier and said "What did you say?" Seifer said "You can give us back the _____ now." I rolled my eyes at the three idiots and tucked a strand of my long sunshine blonde hair behind my ear. "Sweetie, we didn't steal anything." Roxas of course ignored me and knelt down before seifer. He ran for the staff-like bat and Seifer and him went at it. I rolled my eyes at their stupidity i turned to Olette and said "Remind Roxas that I have a gymnastics meet coming up." She nodded. I walked back to my house and once I got there, I turned on my tv. I turned the channel to Doctor Who. I jumped when the doorbell rang because I was watching Angels Take Manhattan. I paused the tv and answered the door. Roxas was standing there holding the parcel the accessories girl gave him. He opened the parcel and said "I ordered these for you. I remembered you'd said you wanted this comb, the necklace, the bracelet, and the ring." He walked into the house and led me to the living room. "Sit down please?" I sat down in my pillow nest. knelt down behind me. He twisted my hair up into a bun before putting the comb in. He then put the ribbon locket on me. He took my hand and put the bracelet on my wrist. On the same hand he slipped the platinum ring with a sapphire snowflake onto my ring. I turned and hugged him. "Thank you Roxas." I mumbled into his neck, knowing full well, DiZ and Riku would make me give up all the stuff Roxas gave me. A few tears slipped down my face as I realized thatour time was limited. I was losing my friends in a week. "Roxas, promise me you'll remember me?" I mumbled. Surprised, he leaned back and, looking at me, our eyes meeting, said "Of couse. Why wouldn't I?" I said "I'm going back to my birthplace in about a week." Roxas' eyes became downcast and he said "So, you won't be going to homecoming with me this year?" I shook my head. Roxas hugged me tightly and said "I won't forget you. Ever." I smiled sadly and said "Let's finish watching this episode." We settled into my pillow nest and watched the entire episode. By the end of it, Roxas and I were crying. "That was sad. And romantic. Amy chose to go to the past to live out the rest of her life with Rory instead of stay and live without him." I sniffed. Roxas said "Wish we could do that." I gave him a watery smile and said "Go home before your mom comes and tries to kill me."
