The next day, we were back at the Usual Place. Olette and I were discusing the fact of how sweet and romantic Roxas is. "Seriously Olette, when I opened the door he lead me to the living room and had me sit down so that he could put my necklace, ring, bracelet, and comb on me. Then when I told him I was going back to my birth town, he was so upset. And that was nothing compared to what he said when we finished watching Angels take mahattan. He told me he wished we could be together for our entire lives like Rory and Amy." Olette squealed and said "Roxas is such a romantic." Said boy looked over and gave us a lost look. "Do you guys think we'll always be together like this?" Pence asked. I looked sad and said "I won't be here. I'm going back to my hometown." Olette then said "I sure hope you'll keep in touch and that the rest of us stay together." I looked away saddened. "Hey, River. What's wrong?" Pence asked. "I'm just really dreading going home." Roxas got an angry look on his face, Pence gave me a sad look, and Olette patted my hand. Hayner stood up and said "Guys! What's important isn't how much we see each other, but how often we think of each other." I gave him a look of mock surprise and said "Wow Hayner, I didn't know you were so philosophical! Or did you get that from a fortune cookie?" Everyone started laughing and Hayner said "Haha. No more Ice Cream for you." I snickered and said "Totally worth it. Guys, I'm just going back to see my Aunt and Uncle. I'll be back. I promise." Olette said "Swear it!" I looked at her and said "What?" She said "Swear you'll come back!" I crossed my heart and said "Cross my heart. I will come back. Just you wait." Hayner shook his head and said "Man, today's turning out to be a drag." Olette sensibly said "Maybe it's because of yesterday's memory thief." Hayner disagreed "Nuh-uh. You know what it is? We don't want summer vacation to be over. That's all." Pence and I turned to each other and shrugged. "So, how about this?" Hayner jumped off his seat and said "We all go to the beach." He walked forward and said "And why do we go to the beach? Because we haven't gone once this entire vacation." He continued walking and said "Blue seas. Blue Skies. Let's just get on the train and go!" Roxas, Pence, Olette, and I looked at each other and Roxas said "Where are we getting the money? In case you haven't noticed, all of us are broke." Hayner said "Maybe you forgot but, I'm smart." We all followed Hayner out. I stopped when I saw Roxas stop. I walked back and said "Oi! Roxy! Move your butt or we're leavin' ya!" He snapped out of his funk and followed me. We rejoined the others and Hayner said "We're going to market street." They ran off and Roxas and I got on our skateboards and followed them.
We caught up to them in front of the struggle tournament poster. Next to it was the poster for my gymnastics meet. "Just two more days for the struggle and tomorrow for River's Gymnastics meet." Hayner said, "Roxas, River, you and I have to make it to the finals. That way no matter who wins, the five of us split the prize." Roxas said "I'm in." Pence said "You two are gonna clean up." Olette said "Go get 'em."
"It's a promise."
"So what now?" Roxas asked.
"Well, one ticket cost 900 munny," Hayner said "How much for the five of us?"
Olette said "4500 munny."
"And as for 300 munny each to spend there, how much is there for five of us?" Hayner asked. I said "1500 munny which totals 6000 munny." I automatically said. "But to spend on what?" I asked. "Pretzels of course." Hayner responded. Roxas said "How about watermelon?" I said "Sweetie, that's 2000 munny a piece. I can just bring some from home if you want it that bad." Roxas nodded. "So we need 6000 munny al together but how much do we have?" Hayner asked. I said "1000 munny."
"800." Pence said.
"650." Olette said.
"I only have 150. Sorry." Roxas said sheepishly. Hayner said "That's 2600 munny. We need 3400. We'd better get some odd jobs to earn enough dough. We have until the train leaves to earn 800 each." Hayner said as he left for the train station but stopped for a second. "Meet at the train station with cash." I nodded mutely and immediately went to work. I delivered all the mail to everyone on my skateboard, pushed huge cargo up the slope, did a bunch of gymnastics and dancing thus earning 100 more munny, and putting up posters advertising my gymnastics team meet.
Roxas and I met up with everyone else once we had 1000 munny each between us, and I had my satchel of food. "So, how much do we have now?" I showed them my brown leather munny pouch and Roxas said "Here's how much we have."
"Way to go Roxas and River!" Hayner said.
"Excellent work. Added to what we started with, we now have 5000 munny." Olette said. "Sweet." Hayner said. "Let's get tickets." Olette said and she and Pence went inside, leaving Hayner, Roxas, and me. 'We can't be together forever. We'd better have the time we do have something to remember." My hands went to my locket where on one side was a picture of my mom, dad, and me in the throne room in Uzushiogakure and the other is Roxas amd myself the day we started dating, and to my bracelet where I had a picture of Hayner, Roxas, Pence, Olette, and myself in my kitchen and we were covered in flour.The virtual version of my mom had taken that picture. Roxas, upon noticing my nervousy, said "I know you're joking." Hayner said "Yeah. You're right about that." Hayner and I walked to the door. Roxas suddenly tripped. I turned quickly and saw Riku. I scowled heavily and mentally said 'DAMN IT RIKU! COULDN'T LET US HAVE ONE GOOD DAY! CHA!' I ran over to roxas and gave riku a dirty look and hissed "Give it back!" Riku shook his head and left. I clenched my fist as I helped Roxas up. I let Roxas' arm out of my death grip and said "I just remembered I have practice today." Roxas looked upset but nodded. I ran off and went to my house. I sent myself back to DiZ's lab and I said "Dude! What in the name of amateratsu? I can have gymnastics cometitions but they can't go to the beach? You know I can defend them!" Riku said "I seriously doubt that. Anka." I paled and said "Where in the name of amateratsu did you hear that name?" Riku said "That's your real name. Annika Hyuuga Uzumaki? Princess of Uzushiogakure?" I said "Yes, but let me explain. You saw my life style back in Konoha. It consisted of having people call me cruel names and being attacked just for existing, hiding from Sasuke and the police force, working at Aunt Ino's flower shop and being kicked out of stores. I can never be Annika and expect to live a healthy life. Riku, when you met me, I was severely malnourished and weighed 70 lbs. I didn't want to die so, yeah I lied to you, but I lied to my parents for way longer by hiding my true nature." I turned amd went back to twilight town.
