The stars, brilliant stars, stars that sparkle at the sight of innocence; such is brilliance, such is gentleness. Shining every night like they never did.
The moon with its craters marked on the dust. 225, 309 miles away from Earth.
It keeps me company. Making me feel like there's someone laying their eyes on me.

I feel like the moon, the stars and I have a deep consanguinity . Its sort of strange and I just love it, is legit.

I laid on the roof of my house, admiring their beauty and silence. Full moon, bright stars, a perfect night.

" Riley! Dinner is ready!", my mom screamed.
Yes! Dinner! I'm hungry. I stand up, enter through my window, and went downstairs.

"What were you doing in the roof?", my mom asked suspiciously.
"How did you know I was in the roof? I was seeing the stars and the moon.", I said.
"When will you learn? Your mom knows it all. What do you have with the moon and the stars? Is not like you are Jack Frost or something, right? Even though you're only 17.", she said back.
"No mom, I'm not Jack Frost. And how many years do you think he has? Besides, I have this sort of connection with the moon I can't handle.", I replied.
"I'm telling you. You're Jack Frost.", she said with a smile while sitting in the table.
Mom made steak with some broccoli and carrots and mashed potatoes. It's actually pretty good!

Dad is missing it. He's a financial analyst  in a large company in California and he's arriving tomorrow from a business travel.

I sit next to mom to watch some TV for a while and then I went upstairs to get ready to sleep.
I lay in my bed and take a deep breathe and went to sleep. I reposition myself to see the moon through the window next to my telescope, an closed my eyes feeling secure.

Suddenly I wake up in the middle of the ocean. I look everywhere to find help. I can't move my feet. I see my mom, my dad and some friends of mine looking at me. I screamed for help, they didn't even made a gesture to help me, they just kept looking at me. I panicked. I look up and the moon turned dark, not a single star in the sky, everything turned foggy. I was drowning. Everything  was against me.

I jumped of the bed, all sweaty trying to find air to breathe. It was all just a simple dream. A really strange one though.

I check the clock, it was 6am. I took a shower before going to school. The day was cold day so I put on a navy blue hoodie jacket, some pants, and shoes and a beanie.
I start my car's engine and went directly to school. I stopped the car in the red light and the dream I had last night went live again, but it started when I started drowning, slowly sinking 20 feet below. Suddenly a truck horn snapped it out of it while crossing the road avenue.

Then I continue driving towards school. I put on the radio some indie music so I could chill down a little bit.

When I arrive to school I meet with my friend Grayson. I know since kindergarten we've told everything to ourselves, there's no secret between us, at least that's what I think.
"Hey bro, what's up?", I salute him.
"Besides the roof I'm good", Grayson said. He thinks he's funny, trust me he doesn't.
