Harry's POV

"Karen, I've to tell you something..." She cut me off.

"Please Harry, don't go, I really need you, you can study music here, there are good universities here." She begged as tears streamed down her face, I blinked trying not to cry.

"I need to go, you know I can't afford a good school without a scholarship, and they didn't give me one here." I insisted as she rolled her eyes in pain.

"I know..." She said trying to hold back her tears as I have her another squeeze.

"We're gonna make this work." I assured her.

"But what if we can't?" She looked at me with pleading eyes.

"We will." I affirmed, "I promise."

It was the hardest decision I'd ever made, but I knew a two-year love wouldn't last and my career was more important. Of course I loved her, and she meant everything to me, but it wasn't enough for me to stay, and high school relationships would eventually end.

Since I got my admission letter to NYU I couldn't stop thinking about leaving England and starting a new life. But I actually wanted this relationship to work and it was going to be hard, but it was going to be worth it.

The airport seemed to get hotter as time passed by and more people started to arrive. I had to say goodbye to Karen.

"Look, I've to go, but I wanna tell you you something..." I took a deep breath and she looked at me expectantly, " I..." I paused and rethought about what I was about to say, "I'll miss you Karen."

She nodded her head and looked down.

I couldn't tell her I loved her, I wanted to but I couldn't. I'd never said to her I loved her and this time that I had the chance, I didn't take it. Love is such a powerful feeling that shouldn't be just said whenever you wanted to, it had to be special and real.

"I hope I can see you soon." Karen said and gave me a small peek on the lips.

"British airways passengers booked on flight 9302A to New York City please be at gate A28, again, British airways passengers booked on flight 9302A to New York City please be at gate A28."

"Finally." I mouthed to myself since I'd been waiting for two hours now.

I barely remember my life in the U.S., even though I was from America.

All I remembered were some of my friends back there and that me and Gemma didn't want to go to London, but at the end we both loved it here.

As I lined up to get into the plane my phone started buzzing, I took it out of my pocket and checked the ID, it was my mom, she was always worrying about me.

"Hey mom, what's up?" I said to her and I could hear her crying.

"I was just wandering if you were already in America." She cried and I rolled my eyes.

"Mom, I barely left 5 hours ago, of course I'm not in America, I haven't even boarded the plane."

"Oh really?! It's been a lifetime to me." I laughed, the only one out of all of us that still had an American accent was my mom.

"Oh sweetheart, I'm gonna miss you a lot." I cut her off.

"Mom, I've gotta go now, I'll talk to you when I get there, love you." And with that I hung up the phone before she could answer.

As I gave my ticket, and everything she needed to check, to the flight attendant I could feel the nervousness building up in my stomach, It was the first time I would go back to America.
