As I opened my eyes I was met with a boy I had no recollection of. He towered over my curled up body and held out a hand. I was reluctant to take it at first but then realized that he was just trying to be kind. I weakly stood up as he supported me. I smiled shyly at him and he returned it with a worried expression. His dark brown hair was parted neatly to one side and his green eyes flickered with accents of blue behind his thick squared glasses. I wiped away the last of my tears and looked angrily at Tim's body groaning on the floor.

"Are you alright?" The boy said, bringing my attention back to him as he pushed his glasses higher up the bridge of his nose.

"Yeah I'm ok, thank you for saving me." My voice was barely audible over the music from down the stairs. I rubbed the side of my arm, feeling awkward and wishing I could go find Emily and leave immediately.

"It's no problem...." I knew he was waiting for me to say my name but I was debating whether I should tell him or not. " I'm Kevin by the way." He smiled kindly and I tried my best to return the gesture. " I'm really sorry about Tim, sometimes he tends to be a douchebag but normally it doesn't get this out of hand. I'll have to talk to mom and dad about this when they get back from their trip. He probably just had to much to drink and lost control, I honestly didn't know I could actually hurt him that badly and I'm sure I'll pay for it sooner or later. I'm sorry, I'm rambling aren't I? I tend to get that way when I talk to people I'm not familiar with. I'm not like Tim at all, even though we're twins, well fraternal but still. I'm just not as socially acceptable as he is." His cheeks tinted red as he realized that he just explained a majority of his life story to a complete stranger. Somehow his speech actually made me feel more comfortable. I was able to relax myself and actually let a small laugh escape from my lips.

"It's no problem," I laughed " it's actually kind of adorable the way you ramble like that." He let out a breath of relief that caused me to laugh even more. " My name is Abigail by the way, and I can't thank you enough for that, I'm so surprise that you're actually related to that," I spoke, pointing at Tim passed out on the floor, indicating that he was drunk off his ass.

"He's not that bad, unless he drinks way to much for human consumption. I'm sure when he wakes up tomorrow he'll be so sorry for what he did." He said glancing at his brother with sadness evident in his eyes.

" Alright, thank you again I'm going to go back to the party before my friend starts to worry about me," I spoke, pointing back toward the stairs. He nodded and tilted his head toward the ground, making me feel bad for him. "Why don't you come with me?" I suddenly ask, causing him to look up with excitement in his expression.

"Really? You want to hang out with me?" He asked astonished.

"Yeah come on, I'll introduce you to my friend Emily!" I said grabbing his wrist and leading him to the stairs.

"I don't know about this, I've never actually attending one of Tim's parties, I normally just stay in my room and read comic books." He says while pushing his glasses up again.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine and I'll be there if you need me." I replied as we reached the bottom of the staircase. Kevin's appearance at the party made everyone's eyes turn to us and I could tell that he was getting nervous. Lucky, I saw Em still in the kitchen and squirmed my way over to her with my hand still clutching Kevin's wrist. When Em caught sight of me she gleamed and waved me over but her facial expression soon changed to confused when she saw me pulling along Kevin.

" Why did you kidnap a kid?" She asked pointing to Kevin. I scoffed and placed a hand on my chest to jokingly signal I was offended.

"I would never kidnap a child, but Kevin here is no child and was in need of a tour guide of a generic high school party, so I offered up our help!" I yelled happily, all fear and disgust from the early incident almost entirely washed away. I knew in the back of my mind that I would never forget something like that no matter how hard I tried. Em studied Kevin's appearance, causing him to squirm under her gaze.
"Fine, why not?" She groaned grabbing Kevin's other wrist and pulling him over to the exact spot we receive our red cups of vomit. She held up 3 fingers to another jock who had replaced the last one and he nodded in response. He handed all 3 of us a cup and Kevin swirled the liquid around with a look of disgust on his face.
"Drink up," Emily demanded, pushed the cup closer to his mouth. "I'm not partying with someone who doesn't finish at least one beer." She chugs hers down and I do the same while holding my nose to prevent the smell from causing me to puke. Kevin exhaled and took a sip, swallowing it while shivering. He waited a bit before putting the cup back up to his mouth and chugging the rest. Emily and I stood there with our mouths hanging open in shock. Kevin wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and asked the jock for a refill. Em looked over at me with an expression that read 'this kid isn't that bad'. Once we all had ingested our fair share of alcohol and were beginning to feel tipsy, Em and I each took one of Kevin's wrist and lead him to the dance floor. We all began dancing together and I entirely lost myself in the music. I was only broken out of my trance when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw Emily giggling and pointing behind me. I turned around and saw Harry, peeling his gaze from off my waist and focusing on my face, his cheeks tinting red from the realization that I caught him gawking. My intoxicated conscious told me to call him over and I did so with the wink of an eye and the curl of my finger. He smiled slightly and made his way through the crowd over to me.

"Hey there, hot stuff " I slurred, which made him chuckle. "Meet my new best friend Kevin, he's like so adorable and dorky. Kevin say hi!" I turned back to Kevin and Emily, who had started to dance closely with one another. I shrugged and turned back to Harry who had replaced his smile with a concerned expression.

"Have you been crying?" He questioned as he placed his thumb on my cheek and rubbed away what I can only assume is a dried trail of a tear.

"It's nothing," I spat, shoving his hand away from my face as I turned to go to the kitchen again. Instead of grabbing another usual cup of beer, I went for the tray of neatly lined shots on the counter top. I threw my head back and gulped one within a second and then went for another when a strong hand grabbed my forearm gently and turned me around. His emerald green eyes scanned my face for any sign of what could be making me act this way. I couldn't help but try to avoid his gaze so that he couldn't read the pain hidden behind my eyes. I glanced at the tray of shots again and wanted so badly to down another and another until I couldn't tell my rights from my lefts and my fears from my dreams. I just wanted to lose the memory, even if it was only temporary release. Harry guided my chin until our faces were inches apart and we held eye contact for an unbearable long time until he signed, grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the dance floor. He made his way back over to Emily who was surprisingly still grinding on Kevin. Normally, by now she would have a new partner to dance with but it didn't faze me much. He whispered something to her which caused her to stop dancing and nod at him with a concerned look on her face. I huffed annoyed that everyone was so worried about me, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself! He again led me off but this time it was toward the door. We walked over to his car and he opened the passenger door and sat me down cautiously. He sat in his seat, turned on the car and put on his seatbelt before the silence was broken.

"Put on your seatbelt," he calmly stated as he pulled out of the crowded driveway.

"But why are we leaving the party so early? I wanted to take more shots and go back on the dance floor!" I whined, buckling my belt and crossing my arms to pout.

"You're so cute when your drunk." He beamed one of his usual million-dollar smiles, causing me to roll my eyes and look out the window.

"I'm not drunk, I'm just a little bit tipsy," I pouted.

"Well I know your parents would flip if they saw you like this so I'm taking you to where I'm staying." He said, turning onto a street I've never been on.

"But what about my car?" I whined as I opened my purse and dug for my keys.

"Don't worry about it Abby, I already took out your keys and told Em to use them to get home and that I'll drop you back off at her place in the morning." I stared out the window at the houses we were passing and was surprised to see that they all were huge houses, that must be a thing in this town.

"Why can't you just drop me off at Emily's house cause I'm suppose to sleep over." I asked as the car slowed down and turned into the driveway of gorgeous light blue house. I gawked at its beauty, making Harry laugh at my reaction.

" Listen, something happened at that party that your not telling me and it's killing me inside. Just a few weeks before today we were sharing every little secret with one another and I know we're not in the same relationship but I want to show you I can still be there for you. Whatever made you cry, I want you to be able to tell me." I was surprised with how sincere he was being as I stared down at the floor.

"How far away are we from your house?" I replied, avoiding what he had just confessed moments before.

"My friend's house is about 40 minutes away, so make yourself comfortable." I groaned and push my seat all the way back so I can take a quick nap on the way there. I hope that he won't bother me too much about what happened back at the party because if he found out, that would be the end of Tim.
