Hours passed and I saw how agents walk and ran; talk and listen; everyone was doing something, suddenly an agent sat on the desk in front of me with the file, she opened it and started reading something, she got interrupted by Agent Buford "Carnell I need to ask you something" she turned to look at him "anything" she answered "please drive Josh home, he has been here like all day" "sure" "but I need one more thing" Buford said never letting his eyes of Carnell, she nodded "when he's at home, feeling more comfortable than here, tell him about the pregnancy" I looked at Buford with a confused face, 'so basically Josh didn't know about my pregnancy and they don't even think about how would he feel?!' I got interrupted by Carnell standing up, I stood up and walked behind her, Josh stood up and walked next to me, we arrived to black Range Rover and jumped in, I turned to look at Josh and I could see he could barely open his tired and red eyes, he just closed his eyes and rested his head on the seat.
Ten minutes later we arrived home, we took the elevator and Josh entered followed by Carnell, he let her in and Josh sat down on the sofa, rested his head on the back of the sofa, that was when Carnell decided to tell him the news "Josh I need to tell you something" he looked at her and nodded, "The coroner was studying the few part of your girlfriend's body that were able to study" "where do you want to go with this?" Carnell sat on her knees in front of Josh "Josh I need you to be so strong and calm right now" there was a little silence until Josh took a deep breath "tell me" he finally said "Dr. Kring found that she was..." "Pregnant?!" Josh completed the sentence, Carnell nodded and Josh hid his face in his hands "she was two months pregnant" Josh looked up and rested his head against the sofa, he was completely broken now, Carnell stood up and looked at his phone "excuse me, I need to go" Josh nodded and he walked to the door closing it behind her, as soon as Josh felt the elevator close, he stood up and walked to the desk, he put his hand in his pocket and a tear streamed down his cheek, he took out a box and opened it leaving it on the table, it had a ring, it was the ring every girl dream of, I turned to look at him and he was crying silently, he walked to our bed and sat down turning the tv on, the news were on, he saw how they sent the killer to jail, yeah it was the man I saw with the blue eyes and scary features, as soon as I saw that face again my whole body froze in horror and the memory of that moment appeared on my mind and I was sure my features showed pain, he turned off the tv and laid down. He didn't sleep all night long, he was there still looking up, a bad feeling about me being there started growing inside of me.
When the sun was up, he stood up and went to the kitchen, took out a glass of water and drank a bit, he left it there and walked to the shower, he closed the door and I heard the water running down, I sat down on the bed and waited for him to come out but I heard a shout from inside, I stood up and waited in front of the door, my ""heart"" was pumping as fast as it could, I heard the water being turned off and a couple of seconds later he went out with his boxers and his shirt, he took his jeans and put them on. Josh sat down on our bed and started saying things "Why did I leave at first?! I could have protect her, she'll be here with me!..." In that moment the door knocked and he stood up, he opened the door and Agent Carnell appeared, "Agent Carnell" Josh said trying to fake a smile but he couldn't, she smiled "call me Melissa" He let her in and she stood in front of the ring "its a beautiful ring Josh" she turned to him "I see your better than yesterday" "I am, thank you" all I thought was 'please Josh let her help you! You are not ok!' I got interrupted by Melissa "I'm here to tell you how it all ended" "please sit down" she smiled and sat down on the sofa "we took the guy and we could saw your girlfriend was very lucky, the killer was a stalker and an attention seeker, he took his victims, all women and rapped them when he knew they were alone, then he cut their necks and pushed them through the window, your girlfriend wasn't rapped, he was desperate because the media didn't talk about him" Josh was froze looking at her, he took a deep breath "so he killed only to be famous?" "Exactly" Josh moved his head in a no and messed his hair, well I didn't considered myself that lucky, I mean I was killed too, right? my thoughts got interrupted by Melissa, "Josh I'm flying to Virginia in an hour so I need to go, if you need something don't hesitate to call" Josh nodded and stood up to open the door for her, she went out and Josh closed the door, he was completely broken, my pregnancy, the ring, this was too much for him to handle. He walked to the room and punched the wall, he started crying as hard as he could just resting his head against the wall, a couple of hours later he sat down next to the bed and started murmuring things "I miss you, I miss you, I miss you" I heard.
