'I Never Regret'

An empty dark sky with a lonely moon shining down on Lydia's forest while its creatures slept soundly.

"Who's coming with me?"

Aylin said while walking towards them.

"Aylin, you're here"

Ezra smiled saying.

She took her mask off to smile back greeting,

"Hello!"

The trainees were shocked, they could not believe that the girl who stabbed Leo was about their age and a very gorgeous looking one on top of it.

She hugged Ezra before jumping into Asher's arms.

Aylin knew very well that he might try to stop her and did not want to give him a chance to bring it up since Elmer's fight was her fight too.

"Aylin-"

Right before Asher got to talk, she interrupted him,

"I can do this, trust me"

The red haired knight was left speechless, he did not know what else to say since she seemed to know it all already.

"Emotional father-daughter speech but we're all listening you know?"

Ezra's comment made Aylin laugh it off but it was a bigger shock to most of the trainees.

"She is Asher's daughter"

Victor whispered.

"Now it all makes sense"

Edwin whispered back.

The red haired girl walked towards Elmer, looking into his blue eyes before bowing her head down.

"Our future king?"

She smiled while looking up again.

"I guess so?"

Elmer smiled replying before hugging her.

"Thank you for coming, Aylin"

The first prince added.

"Anything for a precious friend"

Aylin replied.

Once their little catch up ended. Hawk, Amed, Venator and Aylin had to leave.

The four stood up, making sure they had everything they needed on them.

Aylin looked back before running back towards Asher right into his arms. She had this weird feeling that she was unable to describe.

"Stay safe, Aylin"

He said while gently patting her hair and hugging her back.

"Stay safe too- Dad"

Asher froze for a few seconds, stopped to look at her face, making sure he heard her right.

They both had the warmest smile on their faces before. He leaned in and gently bumped his forehead against hers.

"Let's go back home once this is over"

Asher said.

"Yes!"

She replied.

Ezra's heart felt so warm to see his old friend smile that way again, finding the family he has always wanted to have.

He got more emotional than both of them that Elme caught a tear falling down.

"Do you want a hug?"

The firs prince said jokingly.
