Serperior and its pre-evolutions are actually based off French royalty in a manner of speaking. It's white face alludes to the skin whitening fashion commonly found amongst European aristocracy during the 17th-18th century. Not only that, but the dark green design on its chest seems to be based off of the Fleur-de-lis, a French insignia used to represent nobility.
