WAKING up to the sound of my alarm blaring the annoying monotonous ringtone is something I'll never get used to. After hitting snooze a few times, I sat up for a few minutes just to stare at the wall for another five.
I didn't wake up in the best mood, I realized that when I got quite mad at a cup that I had left on my bedside that got knocked over, even though I did it. I let out a loud groan and put my slippers on to start my morning routine.
Upon going into the bathroom, I noticed the wreck I had been from the previous night. My mirror fogged up despite there being no heat to make it do so. I ignored whatever was trying to happen and continued to brush my teeth, eventually the mirror defogged.
I don't think I should've taken my meds, I'm starting to see shit.
This I realize when I still feel woozy, but well enough to stand and go through my routine. I brushed my teeth, then washed my face. I used to be really into doing eyeliner and lashes, all kinds of makeup, but now I had no motivation for anything. So bare face it was.
I was happy about one thing, the dark spots on my face had significantly faded back to the brown of my complexion and my eyebrows looked nice. Next, I moved to my hair which was on day three of my Flexi Rod set and I had decided to have it out as a fro today instead of a bun.
Once that was done, I went on to my outfit and decided on black cargo pants with a plain black hoodie and platform converse. While I adjusted my shoes, I got a call and looked at it to be none other than Jade.
"Hey boo," I answered while getting up and walking through my hallway to the kitchen, watching as miscellaneous items were dancing around my house. Tempting me to use my magic to rectify it, but I refused. I don't know that part of me anymore.
"Hey, come to practice with me today!" She sounded desperate, she hated having to cheer without a friend.
"Jade, I thought I told you I don't want to involve myself in cheer anymore?" I grabbed a peach and rinsed it off, followed by grabbing a yogurt and some apple juice, and a water bottle.
"No? I would've remembered that." She said, confused. I knew she was playing coy though.
I told her this all two years ago.....When I quit.
"Hmhm, yeah, but I'll still come if you want," I shrugged and began eating my yogurt. "I guess I'm not doing anything."
"Well, I am ecstatic to hear that! You can help me pick some new girls for the squad, we had to kick some off after the first game performance and practice performance."
