Clarke:

After school

Octavia invited me to her house to get ready for the back to school bonfire tonight. I know the name makes it sound like some elementary school celebration but it's supposed to be a blast.

I free myself from my daydream when Octavia asks what type of clothes I wear.

"Tomboy or girly girl?" She asks with her two hands moving up and down as she says each word. I shrug my shoulders and look back at my fiddling hands.

"Not in the party mood?" She asks with a foux sad face.

"I never have been in my whole life," i laugh.

"Well you're going to have a blast tonight, it may just change your mind," she replies.

After finally choosing what to wear, Octavia chooses her own outfit and does our make up. It feels like she's absolutely caked my face but when I look in the mirror I look hot. I hardly ever use that word but it's true. Octavia obviously caught me staring at myself because she looked proud.

We left the house in her car and drove into the Mount Weather woods. Octavia explains that there is a camping spot where the bonfire is being held. There's going to be drinks that aren't alcoholic (sadly) because we still have school tomorrow.

We drive for another 25 minutes until we arrive at an already half full parking lot/muddy clearing. The music pulses through my body and the lights flash all around. People are dancing and singing loudly to the lyrics of I love it by Icona pop. The party atmosphere glows with happiness as me and O join the crowd of dancing people.
