Clarke:

Me: "Dad, no! Don't do this!"
Dad: "Buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz."
Me: "Why are you like this?!"
Dad: "Beep beep beep beep beep!"

Then I wake up. The buzzing and beeping was my alarm clock. My nightmare, as you can tell, was about my dad. He committed suicide in front of me two years ago. All he said was that he had to, and I think my mom knows the real reason why he did what he did. Anyway, I barely kept up with school, family, and friends the last two years so my mom decided it was time for a fresh start.

That brings us here, Mount Weather. The place that will probably be the death of me because I'm going into senior year in high school and will most likely have no friends at all. I don't know my way around so I'll probably have to ask some creep on the street for directions.

Well now I'm here, in my bed, stressing about my first day of school. I fall out of it in my attempt to sit up and I face plant. I groan and push myself up and onto my feet.

I crawl down the stairs (literally, crawl) and make myself a banana and blueberry smoothie for breakfast. I have a conversation with my mom about getting to school in time and my curfew and stuff like that.

I go back upstairs to shower and once I'm dried off, I put on denim jeans with a white sweater and white vans. I put my hair in a simple high ponytail and straighten it as my hair is really frizzy after the shower. I do my makeup while singing really loud to my spotify playlist.

Then, I grab my notebooks and put them in my backpack. When I head downstairs, my mom has a huge smile on her face.

"As my baby girl is all grown up," she says,"I thought that this would make this move just a tiny bit easier."

She throws me something and I catch it. I look down to car keys.

"Wait, mom, did you get me a car?!" I scream happily.

"Yeah!" she replies excitedly.

"Thanks mom!"

I run outside and see a white ford in the driveway. It's amazing!

"Have a good day at school honey," my mom shouts from the front door as I drive off.

After about 10 minutes of driving around town, I realize I'm lost. I pull over and turn the car off. I jump out and look around for anyone friendly to ask directions. I spot a boy that has a backpack on and approach him. I stop in front of him and say:

"Hi, could you give me directions to Dropship Highschool? I'm lost."

"Sure, you go to the end of this street, then take a left and then turn on the first right," the boy replies with a friendly smile on his face.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome..." he slows his words down like he's asking for my name.

"Clarke, my names Clarke."

"My name's Wells, nice to meet you. You're new to the school right? I could show you around." He smiles at me.

"Sure. That would help a lot, thanks. Wanna ride?" I ask.

"Sounds great," Wells replies cheerfully.
