After Evvy left Josefina's house, she walked with her head down all the way home. Well, she was going to walk home but then she hit something tall and hard.

"Aye! Watch it!" Evvy rubbed her head in disgust.

"I am so sorry Evvy. That's your name isn't it?" the tall thing said. It was Juan. Evvy noticed how tan and muscular he looked. What was she going to do? Evvy started to panick, trying to look cool. She casually brushed her hair back and chuckled.

"Hey!" Evvy said, stretching out the word so she could think of something else to say. She playfully punched his stomach. This was getting really awkward.

"I'm going to gooooooo?" Juan said slowly. Evvy started to back away.

"Seeeee yaaaa?" This was the most embarrassing confrontation Evvy had ever had in her life. Then, Juan snuck away, backing up. Unfortunately, he was backing up into the street, and there was a car coming straight for him. Evvy looked up in surprise. "Juan! Get out of the way!" Evvy ran to him. "Get out of the damn street you idiot!" Some passerby were staying to watch Evvy, with her arms flailing, barrel to the spot where Juan was. Juan stepped out of the street with a quizzical look as the car that was about to hit him zoomed by.

"Thanks, Evvy." He said. Evvy blushed.

"That's Ok...I mean.... You're welcome Juan." He looked at her like he was about to kiss her, but then pulled away.

"See you tommorow Evvy?"

"I guess so Juan," Evvy replied. She was still shaking, but happily. She felt like she was about to explode. Juan walked away, and then turned around and smiled. Evvy waved back, although she worried that it was to eager of a wave. She settled for putting her hand down. Juan turned the other way, walking to the bus stop, as Evvy watched him. He didn't turn back again.
